It came in the mail. They're midnight blue American Apparel Cable Knit Over the Knee socks!

I've yet to put them on, but I have a feeling this will be a slippery slope... I think I'll buy an outfit next so I can wear it during Halloween and then get murdered by my fraternity brothers. Yay.

Hi Keri,

Good for you, we all have to start somewhere, nothing better than from the foundation up, that supports everything. You are young, when you can afford to purchase a fashion you don't necessarily have to buy online. I have bought all my female clothes in male mode in shops & department stores. Sales staff usually don't raise an eyebrow, for them it is a sale & commission. They don't have to know, it could be for any female in your family or SO. Rarely has it come up in conversation, & if it does I just say it is a gift for the aforementioned. Advantages to be in a store is to see, touch and feel the fashion and fabric, pattern, color and hold up to you for size (I do that). Size, you could ask if there is a change room to try on for fit.

Baby steps, on your journey. Good luck.
Hugs

Thanks  :D

I have some friends who work at American Apparel, so I get a 50% discount. It's all high quality stuff, made in the USA, hip and classy, and my friends know which sizes I should get so I don't have to go out to get them haha.. livin' the good life. lols

I love American Apparel. The andro folks are big on it, too. They even sell unisex undies. I love the ads, too.

I have similar one made here in Korea. The price tag seems too high, as here I can purchase it at ca. $5 USD.

Yes. I like the feeling when wearing silky clothes. I feel like I become a true woman.

Alright, so I tried them on and they're strange lols. They can easily be thigh highs if you have a garter belt, but otherwise, they slip down and don't really stay above the knee. Super comfy though :)

Keri,

I found they slip down as well, guess my legs aren't big enough.

Your item looks like nice texture to feel good.

Congratulations on your first step. You must feel so good having now taken that step. Next is clothes then shoes and after that there is no stopping.

I'm actually going to see a therapist...

I'm actually going to see a therapist...

I consulted with a psychiatrist a few days ago, paid ca. $300 USD, and got an letter approving HRT. But the physician, who was the most famous for SRS in my country, requested me to come again with my wife. I just gave up.

The psychiatrist did not help so much. He said my job and career is a most important factor in approving HRT or SRS. The physician said that I can enjoy just crossdressing. That's it.

Thing is, I don't want HRT or SRS. I just want what's best, and it's not always going the full ride. If I can only be happy with the full ride, then I'll do it. If it's not necessary, I won't. My goal for seeing the therapist is to help my depression, not to get a prescription for HRT.

The physician request for you to bring your wife and if you are not married then that isn't going to happen. The physician isn't doing SRS on your wife. About you continue crossdressing, he seems rather flippant. If you are working then you are managing to save money for transition, it appears you are achieving that criteria. Otherwise both do not look helpful or taking you seriously. You do have the letter for HRT, so perhaps you can get yourself an Endocrinologist and get started on hormones. The rest can happen per your plan over the years when you can afford the procedures.
Don't give up.

Now that you have started, the reasoning why women take so long to decide on what to buy becomes apparent. The final decision at times can become so hard and those sales really get to you. Constant watching to see if that favorite item comes on sale. Giggles, now you are ready to enjoy shopping like it was intended, a time sponge.

Well, a lot of people say I dress well for a guy too so believe me, I've been familiar with the process :)

As I live in an island where people know each other too well, I am usually at dull mode. Several women at my age from the USA are visiting here. One of them brought to me the clothes and shoes I had ordered online from Amazon and Wal-mart. Two pairs of flat sandals for women. Two leggings and two skinny jeans. And she also gave me a book as a gift to me. The title is like "Living as a career woman", which should be a bestseller here.

I nearly gave up HRT. They will always recognize and remember me as a nice dad, whatever I look like.
