Hey everyone,

just got my lab results back. They have this comparison table for most things written down, as well. It's as follows:

Estradiol: 2995 pg/mL (comparison: first trimester pregnancy: 215 - 4300)
Testosterone: 0.283 ng/mL (comparison: 2.8 - 8.0) and marked as L
Progesterone: 0.294 ng/mL (comparison: males - 0.2-1.4, females somewhere around there, too, depending on what phase)
Prolactin: 34.95 ng/mL (comparison: fertile phase: 3.4-24.1, postmeno.: 3.0-17.0)

I think estradiol is much, much too high and is gonna need to be toned down to a more reasonable level. As far as prolactin goes, I'm guessing it should decrease with less estradiol intake, anyway.
And I think progesterone is a bit on the low side.

What do you girls and guys think?

I'm not seeing my doctor in a long while, so I'd like to see your opinions.

Thank you!

Alainaluvsu

Your E levels are extremely high. My doctor freaked out when mine were in the 700s.

Yeah that is really high. Do you think maybe she read it wrong and it's 299pg/ml?

I think the highest my E levels were was like around 900pg/ml.

I mentioned in another posting that a good estradiol target-level for a transitioning MtF is 150 pg/mL.

The result says 2995 pg/mL, so ... Unless they made a typo.

And for the Estradiol comparison table, it goes like this:

Male: 7.63 - 42.59
Female:
Folic. phase: 12.53 - 165.5
Ovul. phase: 85.78 - 489.0
Luteal phase: 43.82 - 211.0
Postmeno. phase: 5.0 - 54.72
First trimester preg.: 215 - 4300

Is it worth mentioning that I took my medications like an hour and some before the blood drawing (taking E pills sublingually)? I wasn't sure if I should've, or not, and my doctor didn't tell me.

Being on the same dosage for like 5 months now, I didn't notice any bad side effects (apart from the obvious development).

Hmmm...apart from that bulge in yer tummy ...Yeah I think taking SL Estradiol that close to having your blood drawn probably has something to do with it! From what I've read... Estradiol taken Sub Lingually has a rapid onsent...

CONCLUSION:

Sublingual administration of micronized 17 beta-estradiol results in a rapid, burst-like absorption into the systemic circulation, yielding high E2 levels that fall rapidly over the first 6 hours.

If only the bulge was a baby ....

But yeah, that must be it, then. Thanks!

Your E level is sky high. You should lower it before you get bad side effects.

When my results came back @ 722, I had taken a pill sublingually about 30 minutes before my lab test. I asked my doctor if sublingual administration would be responsible for such a high result. She dropped my dosage by 1/3rd for a week and ordered a second blood test, and I got blood drawn 10 hours after taking a dose. The result came back at 642. So I doubt sublingual administration directly taken before a test would be responsible for THAT high of a level.

I read somewhere that estrogen levels in trans women should not exceed 200, am I wrong?  These numbers from you guys sound crazy

That's recommended. I haven't gotten my hormone levels checked since February, but starting last month I was getting mild morning sickness.

Mine was around 325, on low E dose (1 pill per day) only, no T blocker.  Endo wasn't concerned at all and happily put me on spiro on top of E as well.  I was taking them sublingually and the blood was drawn about 3-4 hours last dose.

The E level is way too high, as others have said.. The T level is very low too..

I'd be booking an appointment to see your doctor, as those levels need some attention now..

What is the healthy level for trans patients Maximum E level?  My doctor has been learning this with me as we go and I'd hate to be bringing him dated materials.

My doctor said she wanted me between 175 - 200 and wont let me drop below 150.

150 pg/mL is the target threshold.  200-250 pg/mL is satisfactory.   In natal women, the levels vary during the menstrual cycle, with ~400 pg/mL being the mid-cycle norm.

In transitioning MtFs, one consideration must be whether the nuts are still working, or whether the T is adequately blocked.

I'll just add that I always get my blood done first thing in the morning before eating or meds.
That way I get a worst case scenario and my tests.

Cheers,
