This question goes out to any MTF's who have been on hormone therapy for quite some time. How has it affected the prominence of your veins? I was under the impression that mine would become completely unnoticeable in time, until my doctor told me otherwise. He said the hormones would "help" and left it at that. What worries me is that my veins are abnormal. When my arms hang down my side they are at their worst. It is disgusting and makes me feel like a monster. I don't want to have to hide under long sleeves for the rest of my life. I have been on hormone therapy for 5 months so far and there hasnt been any change in it. I have virtually no body fat and I know that plays a part in it, but I can't imagine how much body fat may end up covering my forearms. Has anyone else found themselves in a similar situation? How did things end up turning out?

The only solution is to gain bodyfat. Everybody has those veins, the only reason they're masculine is because men have less bodyfat which makes them more visible.

T does in fact make them bulge a bit.  So blocking the T should help some.  Mine no long bulge but I can't really say they ever did.

Our son has type 1 diabetes so he has to visit and endo quarterly.  This last time he pointed out that it was sure his puberty has started because he could now see the veins bulging on his hands.
Blessed Be!

I completely agree.  When I was a physical male, before I started on hormones, I was slimmer and was quite  vascular at times--especially in my arms.  Now I worry a bit that they'll have a difficult time finding A vein when I go to have blood-work done; that should reassure you to a degree.  I am guessing that you are very much on the lean side?
Well wishes to all. Patrice
