Hi all

After many years of delay and far too much thinking I have finally booked SRS with Dr Suporn in November.

I know he is one of the best surgeons and that I will be looked after pretty well while I'm over there but I have to admit I'm still scared. So what am I scared of?

Well first of all I'm scared of the examination. I can't actually remember how many years it is since anyone else has seen what is between my legs let alone touch me there.  This is going to be really tough for me.

Strangely enough I am not really scared about the surgery. I will go to sleep and when I wake up it will be done. I am scared about the afterwards though. Scared of how well I will cope with recovery and dilation but mostly that it will grind down my strength and let my old enemy depression get a hold of me again.

Any survival tips very welcome.

Hi Ann,
I myself went to Dr. Chettawut in Bangkok for my srs, but I did also go to Chonburi with my then G/F for her srs. Dr. Suporn's staff were great. I don't hesitate to recommend him and his clinic for anyone having srs. They will take good care of you, learn a couple words and make a little effort to be friendly and your time there could turn into a pleasant experience in spite of the fact that you're there for surgery. Make sure you let your bank and credit card companies know you'll be out of the country in advance to avoid any problems. I'll comment some more when I'm a bit more awake.

I had GRS with Dr. Leis in Philly.  If I could do it all over again I'd bring a friend.  You need someone to look out for your interests and help you make decisions.  Emotionally its really hard to do it alone.  I got lucky and made some friends while I was there.  Find someone, anyone. A hobo off the street :p

You are afraid of the unknown.  Meh, its human nature.  Youll be ok.

I found dilation to be no big deal.  Kind of a hassle but not painful.

I'm two hrs from Dr. Leis if anyone needs take out, lift from the airport, a teddy bear, or a hand to hold.

The way suporn's clinic is set up it should be easy for you to make friends while you are there. As the clinic is like a block from the hotel and has a R&R area set up. Though like tree flower said it is good to have a friend.
Dilate dilate dilate.
