So I'm in a transition period in my life all around right now. I'm moving in with my aunt and counsin (got kicked out of my mom's house), I'm starting grad school after Memorial Day, and I'm finally taking real big steps in my transition.
I got my clearance to get on hormones this summer and just made my appointment for June 4th. I've had my physical and just need to get some bloodwork done. I'm hoping to get it done here and mail it in to them and if that happens I might even get my first shot on June 4th-- less than a month away!
I also sent out my paperwork today for my legal name change to Devin Scott. I've wanted Devin Scott for years now because that's what my parents would have named me had I been born with a penis, but lately I've been thinking of making it Devin Jacob for my Hebrew name. In the end I decided to keep it Scott in honor of Scotty from Star Trek, so now I am officially the biggest nerd I know, having chosen my legal name based on a Star Trek character... Anyway, it only cost $90 in New Hampshire, which seems cheap compared to what some of you guys have said it costs where you live, and the lady at the probate court said I can have a court date as early as the 31st of this month.
So big changes are coming hard and fast. This is awesome!
