I am wondering alot about this.

The girls that pass only with the aid of HRT.. Where they girly looking even before? or can even a not so androgyne male bodied and faced MTF pass with HRT only?

I need FFS but still I am still thinking about my possibilities to pass after say 2years or so. I know that there is no ultimate guideline that you can follow because everyone is different. But is it possible that a male face can change over to the female range? even if it is not so andro? I have a huge problem and its my nose :((, all the female relatives on my mothers side have the same ugly nose but they are females from birth so for me the nose is a bigger problem because it makes my face look. Well harsh and maleish.

I really hate my face because it screams male :(, and I am pretty sure that I will never pass without major surgeries and therefore I planned to do something about it in a year or so. But now there are bigger priorities up ahead that needs to be adressed before any surgeries can be paid for. So it kind of painful to realize that I may have to present as a male for quite a while longer :(((, and I am not sure how to cope with that to be honest.

Theres no way i woukd have ever passed bedore HRT, but now after only 8 months and nothing other than hrt, i rarely get referred to as a guy even without makeup. My nose is awful too... ill post a before pic of me when i get home.
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

If I look at your avatar picture your face looks female all the way :S. You did not even pass with makeup before HRT? if that is the case I just got a little more hope :).

Thanks btw I look forward to some pictures :).

Honestly the only thing that throws me off is your skin quality.. Which will get much better on E.

get rid of those awful so-2009 lip clip things, use some foundation to smooth your complexion  and you'll pass fine especially with a nice nose like that.
nice girlie pendant.

You'll be fine I'm sure if that photo is an accurate portrayal.
I was in a worse state than you and I've been on hormones for more than 2 years... I think... you stop counting after abit ya know. Most of the changes occur within 9 months although your body may vary.

as for myself.

While I'm still alittle neurotic about it and I'm never sure, thinking that most people are just begin polite I seem to be pretty passable.

Me before HRT

It would take one awesome makeup artist to made that look female.

Yep I have had a hard time with my skin.. And it has even been worse more oily and gigantic pores  :embarrassed:. But I have seen some improvement lately due to myself taking better care of it. Hopefully my skin will look better in a few months.

I saw some pictures yesterday and are quite impressed that skin quality can do so much difference lookswise.

;D thanks for your opinion. I am not usually wearing those. I only have them when going to a certain place. I will get a girlie pendant or 2 this autumn though, along with a few other things  :), planning to go part time then if E will be kind to me.

This was me right before hrt (about 13 and a half months ago)... passing wasn't even a thought :P

I tend to pass now (as long as I fix myself up a little bit before going out :P If I don't try to cover the leftover beard shadow and stuff...it isn't as likely...though, I still pass sometimes like that too :|

Long hair and sculpting eyebrows can make a HUGE difference apparently.

Rabbit : When I look at the before pic and compare it to your avatar I must say that there is a big difference. And the funny thing is that I cant pinpoint what it is but whatever it is it made a huge difference.

I hope that I will be as lucky as you :).

Well this is me 3 months before hormone blockers and i've never once been "read" as you call it :L
  •

Carolina1983

AlexisB : I am stunned  :o, you look just like any girl. Before hormone blockers? Oh my.

I am 7 months in and still look very much male. It is a bit depressing to be honest, I really hate it! FFS is the only option for me. But I am glad for you girls that can make it without.

You look really good.

I may not pass, but I was a hairy Neanderthal before.  The body hair decreased and turned fine and light.  The head hair is the longest it has been for an 18 month growth, much longer with the two year try earlier before HRT.  It is now shoulder length.  My doctor two days ago was impressed by the growth.

As has been said many times, we are our worst critics.  A friend came to see me last week who hasn't seen me for about 2 months, and said 'your face has changed so much' So stuff does happen over time. I have had a few spurts in changes the last few months. after everything seemed to have slowed down. Well never really got going for over a year.

Carolina all i'm saying is that you look like any other female to me! Your features are very well defined and not in a masculine way x
