Hey everyone my names amber i am a 24 year old mtf from Buffalo, Ny. I am just starting down the path of transitioning and could use some advice on where to start i haven't been able to find a worth while therapist and am frustrated because of it. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Hi Amber, ^^ It's always nice to see a girl my age, I'm very much in the same point. You can always try meeting up with others in your area, odds are they will be able to help point you in the right direction. It may end up what I do anyway~

I have used and recommend the "Find a Therapist" and/or "Find a Psychiatrist" utility at the Psychology Today website.  As part of the search process you can screen for those professionals who have experience with "transsexual issues."  My quick search for Buffalo, NY, turned up five therapists:
