agreed on the clothes (those are my lounge wear lol) but I wore them to get some input on my body type so I would know on areas I need to work on.

I really have no idea. I'm also only counting strangers. Happens on the phone too, which is weird because I know my voice is boss. People are just weird.

One day I was misgendered returning flour to a grocery store. The day after I tried to cash a gold ring I had since I was really little that was very girlie...and I was called he a bunch. I ended up cutting the top shorter today because things were kind of uneven and looking weird.

That is weird...but, if your appearance super over rides your voice then that would do it. I think my voice is a baratone-ish sounding.

Well, you look like a guy to me, Nygeel, and your glasses look fantastic on you, by the way.  I wish I could find glasses that suited me so well, I look like a tool in every pair I've tried.

I don't know why you wouldn't pass, sometimes I think people use odd criteria and that by those criteria, cis or non-trans men must get misgendered too.  It happens to me sometimes still as well, although in my case, I think it may be the purple hair...

And your voice is way deeper than mine (and you sound awesome!), Nygeel, you're well into the baritone range.  I'm just barely there and not consistently, there's still a lot of variation in my pitch, since I think it's not settled yet.

I hope you dont mind me being straight up honest with you here dude but I think its your glasses that dont help you pass. They are (to me) quite girly shape wise. Also because your eyebrows are quite thin I think that coupled with the glasses could be making people misgender you. Especially since most people when they first meet you will look at that area first. I think if you got squarer blockier glasses it would help. Thats just my opinion of course

@KyleXX My chest measurement is (I think) 40 when bound, and if you're supposed to measure your hips at around the widest part of the butt that's 40 inches. My hips aren't wide compared to the rest of my body. The two days back to back that I'm talking about...on the first I wore a stiff(er) baggy shirt, and the second my shirt was thinner/softer and closer to my body.

@Tom Here is a comparison where I took pictures close to what I took before, but with my old glasses which are more angular.



I also cut some more off the top. Took me like 2 hours to pick out the frames I use now. Might be from having my eyes dilated and feeling really dizzy mixed with the fact that the woman helping me kept pulling glasses that were really...just...bad.

Honestly, Nygeel, I think the glasses in this picture suit your face better for some reason.
Also, did you develop side burn hair recently or does it just look that way because of the lighting?

Nygeel, I remember a little while back when people kept giving you tips and then you'd post more pics and still "not passing" and it must have been very frustrating but you really do seem to be making progress now. I'd definitely say you are more passing now.

Those are indeed sideburns as the result of 2 months without shaving. I trimmed the chin hairs a week ago. Now it's more frustrating because here I'm getting "you pass" but IRL I'm not. LOL

Actually I'm not really sure what it is that makes people read one gender or another anyway. It is all a mystery to me.

The old glasses look so much better.  I know how it is picking out glasses.  I used to have a square black plastic frame like your old ones, and when I got new ones I tried to go for something different but ended up with these really strangely shaped wire frame ones.  Looked good at the store but I hate them now.  They look super girly on me. 

My opinion though is that the old ones are a winner on you.  Those plus the short hair and you pass 100% to me.  Not withstanding the uh sideburns, facial hair and your ridiculously manly voice.  People are ridiculous, you pass for sure.
