That's been my experience too, which has really surprised me - though at this point I should REALLY stop saying that I guess. You really only get to use about 112 surprise reactions... then I REALLY need to get a clue, lol...
But yea, I called a gazillion doctor's offices looking for someone to manage my HRT, and every single nurse/receptionist I talked to was super-kind and sympathetic. And when I get my bloodwork done, the nurse who takes me back to the room always asks, "So what are you here for today?" And my "Well, I'm changing my sex..." answer just seems to provoke curious (and polite) questions at most, or a genuine "Oh! Well, good luck to you!"
I keep waiting for the proverbial "other shoe to drop," when it seems the only shoe I've felt is everyone kicking my butt to just get ON with this thing and stop being such a whiney coward, lol...
