Hi, I was just wondering if Estraderm has worked well for any of you?  I hope it will feminize me as much as possible.

Thanks to anyone who responds!

It worked well while I used them. I noticed emotional changes and a slight libido drop within 2 weeks. Morning erections disappeared around that time, too. Breast growth and PAIN started at about 3-4 weeks.

But the adhesive gave me a nasty rash. Four months later I switched to estradiol pills.

Hmmm...I don't like the sound of that.  The part about emotional changes within two weeks?  When I was on estrace pills before, I remember taking them for the first time.  It was around 1.5 hours after taking it when I noticed an emotional change.

I had this smil on my face that wouldn't go away and was just really, really happy.

I hope that Estraderm will work as well as Estrace pills did... :-\

Well, knowing that I was HRT made me happy, that's for sure.

But I noticed that I was more likely to cry than get angry and swear when I was upset. That's the emotional change I meant.

One advantage to patches is that they deliver a steady dose of Estradiol while they are being worn.  Your estrogen blood levels remain fairly constant, as compared to pills or injections.

Connie is correct though, some people have a tough time with the adhesive irritating the skin.

I tried those for one month and the highest dose patch did not work for me so I'm back to EstroPause (Estradiol valerate) oral highest dose times two for the day. I'm 8 month post op, 22 month HRT.

Sticking 2 - 3 patches was not an option due to size of those patches and of course the cost.

I personally find NO difference in 'delivery' between those patches and oral. The issues (tinnitus) I have, did not disappear with the use of patches either.
As far as liver values go I seem fine with oral, every time I do ½ year blood tests.

Oh, yes fore sure.  It was the same for me about the anger/crying thing.

I hadn't got to the point of going full time, the last time.  But I did go out as female a few times.  There was another trans girl who I met through a friend who was also trans.  Well, I had to move like really soon, and didn't know what to do.  This friend was looking for a roommate, so it was like we were each others solution to our problems.

Anyway, after agreeing that I could move into her place, she ended up changing her mind...I never found out why.  But when I talked with her on the phone and she gave me the bad news, I could feel myself getting really angry.  I thought that I would end up saying a nasty comment, but nope.  Just before that happened that anger turned into tears...lol

I burst into tears and my voice got really high pitched and everybody took notice; it was at a busy shopping mall.  Normally when things lielke that happen, it'd be no biggy but it almost landed me on the street.

Fortunately a co-worker let me stay at her place so it worked out.  Sorry for rambling but I like to share stories. :D

Thanks for the input, Axelle.  Tinnitus, eh?  I have the exact same thing.  That's high pitched ringing and clicking sounds in your ears, right?  Do you know if there's a cure?
