Like, I swear.  I've only been on hrt for a day but honestly I can't stop eating; I have been very hungry ever since starting yesterday.   And I have ate a lot of food in that time, but I still want more....aaarrrrggghhh!

An this is not in my imagination, I crave food!

It was more of a phase for me.
I craved more food than usual, nothing different or weird.
Just the same ol' stuff I ate.

Also drank a lot of water.

I sure hope this is just a phase that's starting, and let it be short lived.   I definitely can't afford to buy enough food all the time to satisfy my appetite.  Lol

If I let myself, I can eat a lot, and in the last few weeks, as it's getting cooler where I live, the temptation to turn to comfort foods sets in.
I try and keep disciplined as I'm trying to lose a few more kilos to get back to a fit weight for higher impact activity.

Yeah, when I started hrt a few weeks ago my appetite was through the roof but after about 2-3 days it tampered off an normalized; even made me break down an commit the dietary sin of ordering dominos. :D

When I first started, I was outeating my 6'5" 240 lb coworker (I was 5'4" 140 lb to give perspective). I still lost about 5-10 lbs. But it settled down after a few months.

Since starting HRT, I've felt like Ms. Pac-man, just eating constantly.

From what I remember when I first started my appetite didn't change all that much. Recently my appetite has been tapering off, but I think I just attribute that to the weight that I've been losing. I will say though that I find myself craving fatty foods a lot more than I used to

Being on just day 3 of HRT I'm already noticing an increased appetite, and I need to drink a lot more water. But also I'm feeling like I have three times the energy I had before, it's so wonderful.

Ive been eating like a pig since I started, after starving myself for months. Im scared to look at the scales but I do know its going to my chest, hips etc.

It's normal... Well it happened to me... I had extreme cravings for certain foods I was nearly insatiable in regards to them. this occurred while my body was changing.

Lemons and Oranges. (Vitamin C... Needed for new connective tissue... Like breast tissue.)
Beans and nuts. (Rich Protein and foilic acid... Hip fat in females is unique and rich in amino acids and folic acid... Also needed for new structural tissue)

Oily fish. ( Omega-3 Nerve and Skin and hair health, Both of those underwent drastic changes with me... And it's well known that HRT alters neurochemisty So not surprising)

And occasional cravings for yoghurt and full fat cream. (Fat and calcium... Female bone density is different, aswell as notable amounts of hip/ass/breast fat.)

Thanks for the nutrition advice pebbles. I also experienced cravings and increased appetite since starting HRT. I haven't gained weight at all. I think I've even lost weight.

Well... I'm about 9 months into HRT now and I still have this "voracious" appetite. However, I am also frequently very stoned... BUT, I don't remember being this hungry while stoned pre-HRT. So I really don't know...

I'm going to say yes. At least for me. More weird cravings (as mentioned earlier) and taste for some things not normally part of your regular diet.

I've tried to offset this issue, with eating much healthier overall (salads, fruits, veggies, fish) and exercising more to make-up for it.

Think like a lady and eat less despite the cravings. I am still eating the same as pre HRT. Breast size development has increased my weight slightly.

Rofl...Ahaha, no.  I gave up smoking greens when it dawned on me that it could have a detrimental effect on hrt.  I don't know that for certain, but I want to be feminized as much as possible so I'm not taking the risk.

However,  blazing was a blast while it lasted!

Lol, oh believe me, I do think like a lady. Its just that my metabolism is so darn high. I'm burning close to 3,500 cals per day; 2600 of those cals are burned at rest. I already did eat quite a lot of food before starting hrt. Even so, I'm eating even more now. And I think I am losing a little weight...surely not from hrt though...too soon.
