I have been reading alot of Q&A on the effects of HRT. Well for me i have been on for 18months and have noticed the hair on my arms and chest is still dark and i have to shave daily. i have been told that because i shave my arms and chest so much that i will now need to have electroylsys or laser on them as they will just grow thicker every time i shave. i was just wondering if this could be from the progesterone the dr has me on?

As you have read before change takes time. Are your T and E levels where they should be?

Hair growing thicker from shaving, plucking, waxing, leeches, etc. is just a myth.

HRT takes time to work. In my case it took over 2 years before arms and tummy really started thinning out. In my younger days when I was on HRT w/o an AA I did not notice any affect. Now, within a few months with Androcur I can tell the hair was more sparse but still just as heavy and dark. Growth rate slowed a lot. I think it is a more of a war of attrition at this point with me plucking the dark hairs that take a long time to regrow

I've never taken progesterone and when I get my bloods done there is a certain amount of natural progesterone in my results. A lot of M to F's don't use or need to take progesterone as part of their hormone regime.
