as nicer as you expressed yours?  please!

I was only responding to your original comments. We know the male days are over, that point didn't need to be made, and, as I said, quite a few women don't wear perfume for work, often required such as medical conditions or professions, unnecessary for work or life, or just a personal preference, so to say "a woman has to wear perfume" wasn't fair or right. As I said, it's a social privilege and choice when and where appropriate. I'm only suggesting to avoid absolutes when they don't apply.

Quote from: MelissaAh, but you stated this as fact and didn't prefix it with something like "I think", "I feel that", or even "In my opinion".

Either way, I picked up some perfume this weekend.  I got white diamonds and rapture because I liked those scents.

One word:  Relax!  that's my opinion and I stand by it.
No problem, I was relaxed when I wrote that.  I was only describing why people reacted the way they did. 8)  I imagine the way that english is used in Europe is slightly different than it is here.  You take a direct approach with your statements and while I admire that (I do it too), others may not. :)

It's not really (just) a question of English being used differently in Europe; the thing to keep in mind is thar for quite a few of us, English is not the native language. We may look fluent, because you can't see the accents, but that just makes for a few more opportunities for miscommunication. ;)

Whoopee! Man, that may have been a small one for Neil, but it's a long one for me.
