Hey,i posted a similar thing in the gear section and didn't get a response to my question so I'm trying here, hoping for more response. My first binder arrived. It's an underworks 997 double front. It fits perfect except that the center of the neckline in front and a little in back gap out. If I wear a button up it doesn't show but it does in a t shirt or tank top. I tried to add a pic I took of the issue but can't post it, maybe bc I'm on a droid rather than a computer. I talked to the company and they said since it fits right everywhere else it is not a size problem. Does anyone have suggestions or ideas about how to make it lay flat? I'm very large chested so I used the down and out method to flatten. Also, one side it's about 1/2 cup size bigger than the other. I pulled it over my head to put it one. I can't think of other factors that might affect it. Anyhow thanks.it's appreciate ideas.

I actually ditched the 997 for a 983 tri-top for this very reason. The tri-top still did it a bit, but then I moved down a binder size and it doesn't happen at all and it binds a ton better. The tightness of the smaller size stretches out pretty quickly.

Curiously, I thought i would prefer the 997 to the tri-top because I wanted to be able to pull it down securely, but I found the opposite is actually true - the 983 stays in place far better than the binder part of the 997, at least in my experience.

I've never used the 997, but I did use the 988 which is similar. I found the 983 to be the best bet for me. The binding part of the 988 was too small. Plus, the 988 was hotter because it was full length.

i have both the 997 and the 983 and i have never had that extra fabric problem with the 983. That is why i usually just wear the 997 with polos and button ups.

I only wear my underworks double front when it's really hot and I don't want my sweat patterns to give away the fact that I'm binding. Even then it's only necessary in certain shirts.

Thanks guys for the input. I considered the other styles but chose this to try first bc many big guys recommended it, I wanted to be able to tuck it in and I want sure the chest are a only compression would cover what I need it to. I'm going to look into having a friend alter that area and will try another style when I have some more cash to spend. I appreciate the replies.
