Quote from: A on June 14, 2012, 09:36:47 PMFor blocking a little bit of your testosterone, you can take pure spearmint (not peppermint) herbal tea. Just one will have a mild effect, and you can take up to 6 or even 8 cups daily if you want something more substantial. I won't lie; this is nothing even close to the effects of a real anti-androgen; however it is an indicated natural treatment for hirsutism caused by an excess of androgens in women. Also, I read that tucking, because it puts the testicles at your body's temperature, renders those much less effective at producing sperm. I don't know at all, but maybe if it does this, it also lowers the amount of testosterone they produce. Finally, to "compete" with testosterone (if that's possible o.o) and to perhaps get tiny bits of feminisation until you get HRT, you can look into phyto-oestrogens. Be careful, as those aren't made by or for humans and as such are probably not all that healthy if taken in great amounts, but I have heard of some nice but minor effects. You could consume more soy and flax, for example (soy milk is delicious!) There is also pueraria mifica extract, a natural product with a huge amount of phyto-oestrogens in it. Some have reported good results. But be careful, as I said above.By the way, your father is not a nice person, but I do think that parental authorisation only requires one signature... And your mother is okay with it, as I remember, right? Also, I'm not sure, but I think that depending on the country, your parents are not allowed to kick you out until you are major AND your studies are finished / you are able to earn a living by yourself... Or something like that. Maybe you could look it up.
Quote from: Erin_Grey on June 14, 2012, 09:43:56 PMshot and killed?!?!? um my psycho alerts are going off big time. I know I'm not one to talk, but watch your step around him if he is saying that kind of stuff.
Quote from: Angelique1994 on June 14, 2012, 09:42:22 PMive also heard that if u have a laptop and u sit it on ur lap the heat will kill ur sperm and make u not produce more for 6 months which will make ur testosterone go down alot.
Quote from: A on June 14, 2012, 09:50:13 PMThat sounds like, how would I put it? Bull->-bleeped-<-. Going back up, whilst not being their "default" position, is a thing that is bound to happen. Being heated a little, too, from exercise and stuff. Testicles are stronger than that and unless you boil them, they will recover quite quickly from heat. Heat doesn't damage them; it just makes them work less efficiently. Remove the heat and they very quickly "resume production". That's why I suggested to tuck a lot.

I mean, now that the universe is going to implode I don't know how to deal with my hair in this weather??!! On a serious note, Angelique don't get into fist fights with him. I'm guessing pre-hrt you're still weaker than him so I think it's better to avoid him or just stay when your mom is around.
Quote from: A on June 14, 2012, 09:59:02 PMOh, and your father obviously doesn't deserve anyone's tolerance and should be forcefully brought into therapy (or jail) immediately. =)^ Had added that to my post but you're too fast.

Quote from: A on June 14, 2012, 10:03:36 PMStop being so damned fast! And no, you wouldn't go to jail. It's legitimate defence; besides, he's in a position of authority (super aggravating) and you're a minor (even more aggravating).

Quote from: Erin_Grey on June 14, 2012, 10:21:27 PMOk ok let's steer this ship back on course. What can you do to block testosterone until you get hormones?Honestly, there is nothing we can safely and in good concious prescribe you anything that could block T on the level that HRT could.BUTEvery little bit counts. Buy spearmint tea. Drink that for breakfast rather than a coffee or OJ or maybe when you want a soda you could drink that instead.Also-now bear with me now- I know y'all are going to call me looney tunes but I have been drinking a glass of soymilk a day since I started HRT and I swear it's at least helped a little with the breast growth (I know I know).I know it sounds crazy but soy does have a very mild impact on estrogen levels. It's why they recommend cismen to not drink too much soy and why they tell women to cut back on it too because it may (may being the operative word) increase their risk for breast cancer. That's pretty much all I have but I know doing something about your situation might be enough to help you feel a lot better.
