You should go ahead and experiment.  You are young and pretty, and unless you shave your head bald, you'll remain young and pretty.

Even then, a shaved head can be sexy!

Teen girls can get away with all sorts of outrageous hair styles. although the picture you post is very nice and would look good on you.

Go ahead - be a little crazy.

It looks pretty close to it now. I like this picture of you. I'm still jealous. I think would look great on you.

Alainaluvsu

Yes, you can pull it off. I'm a stylist btw.

It's basically the same haircut you have now....it's just styled slightly differently with a little more curl and a little more length.
You could style your hair like the picture now.

The new cut would have more layers. But it's very similar.

Yes - it's almost what you have except it's a ouch longer and layered.  I think you would look good, even with it ponytailed.

I think I'd like it better if it had bangs.

anita,

Is it your real hair? Looks very nice.

In your town, is it completely safe to go out en femme?

Although it is safe here, I usually go out with my friends.

Angelique,

You may try it, but I think streightened hair would be nice for your face.

hi barbie,
thanks for the compliment, but it is a wig. My real hair is receding and falling :(

A bit expensive one, but I any way got it:

In my town, it is moderately safe I guess. But the every now and then I hear terrible news on tv or online. Even real girls get into problems later in night. And I've never gone out in India. When I was california, I have done so without anyone even noticing :)

Among my colleagues at their 50s, hair transplantation is now popular. They were bold, but their scalp can be covered with light hairs after transplantation. They seem to be satisfied with the results.

When I got an interview for application to the previous workplace and my university, my long hair became an issue, although it was irrelevant to my qualification. Some committee members, i.e., aged faculty members, argued each other about my hair. I commented that my concern is not long hair, but possible hair loss. It is ironical that one of the members got hair transplantation this year. I am not quite sure whether my long hair affected their mind, but another colleague also got hair transplantation.

Several months ago, I changed my shampoo products to a special one which is said to be effective in preventing hair loss. I water my hair for at least 3 minutes after applying shampoo to remove all residuals. You may try this if you worry about hair loss.

You already have the same style, more or less? yours actually looks better and thicker than the girls in the other pic where it also looks like she has extensions in her hair?

I wouldn't worry about the hair. I would do something about those eyebrows.

Probably difficult to duplicate unless you go buy the same extensions she is wearing in this picture.  Your hair texture is different.

Try lightly penciling in your eyebrows with a MAC Eye Brows crayon pour les sourcils in 'Strut' <-- color.  Then blend and smooth with a MAC 266 angled brush and set with a small amount of MAC Embark <-- color eye shadow using the same MAC 266 brush.  If you use face powder you can go over the brows with the powder after you are finished and it will soften them a little (when you do your face with powder).

Also your eyebrows need to be a little thicker to give you a more normal and youthful appearance.  Real thin eyebrows are a hallmark of old age, think wicked witch in Disney cartoon, Cruella DeVille, etc...  The fashion today is thicker eyebrows and sheer powder, everyone is focused on a youthful look and really more and more the goal is to not look made up.  My father said the thing I hear males say so much yesterday, "I prefer girls who don't wear makeup."  And I was like, "That is because men don't recognize that women are wearing makeup when it is done right and assume they don't have any on."

In the thirties, the plucked eyebrow look was in fashion and many women plucked or shaved their eyebrows and in some cases, the eyebrow did not grow back, resulting in many middle aged to older women in the sixties looking freakish. (Think of my close personal friend the late, great Edith Massey, the egg lady of Pink Flamingos)  These days, mostly drag queens ( Think Divine) pluck or shave their entire eyebrow line resulting in  a very unnatural and gauche look. If you do not want to look like a "female impersonator," do not remove your natural eyebrow line!

Early in my transition...back in the day when I worried about "passing," people would often comment on my appearance: Usually, "Oh you are so pretty..." I always wondered what they were really thinking. I suspected they were thinking, "Oh you are so pretty...for someone one who was obviously born a man!" Today, living the life of an attractive but unassuming female, I rarely receive these "positive" comments leading me to believe my suspicions were accurate.
