I actually know a guy that had phallo and kept his extra hole.

I feel that phallo and meta have higher success rates, and way more satisfactory results than what people think. I'd wager most folks don't do the research, and now with Dr. Brownstein retiring, his replacement is said to have shadowed some of the Serbian surgeons for lower surgery (which means great results are likely).

Yep, yep, and yep.  Quite a few guys with metas also keep the front hole.  Sometimes it has to be closed a bit so it's smaller but still there.  I used to read about surgeons leaving a small opening anyway to allow drainage of various body fluids; don't really hear about that anymore unless it's the patient's choice and the surgeon will accommodate (some won't).

The results are definitely way better than most people think.  Seeing old/incomplete photos does not help any.  Or just hearing rumors and passing it along each "generation".  I read about the new surgeon earlier this week.  I'm very excited to see who it is and what he's capable of.

When I was a child I would have phalloplastry, but as I grew older and notice about the risk and what it was about I doubt it more, and now I am leaning toward option 5-4 voted for 5.

as I wrotte many other places on this site, I dont really hate my Vja, just hate how it makes me "female"
I still wish I had a penis, who was normal size one once in a while, but so far its not what I would do here or now.
If the person I am is okay with me below, then I dont mind my phobia part on this is always putted on ignorants.

For me, personally, it has to be a natural part of me or I wouldn't want anything to do with it. It would feel like some foreign thing attached to me. But then again I never planned on having any surgeries. I've got plenty to work with right now that's naturally occurring. Sure it's only half the size of most average cis guys but at least I get a lot of feeling out of it. And the "extra" hole is just meh. Always has been. It's there, whatever, don't make much use of it.

I've thought about it, and I'd rather have a metoidioplasty done. I'm not keen on how the phalloplasty is done, and while there have been advancements in terms of the erectile prosthesis and the appearance, a meta will be as close to a functioning penis as I feel I can personally get. Size isn't a big issue for me, I'd just rather have something there that isn't a...hole.

I don't know what the future brings (...may it change when someday I get my first T shot?) - but now I think I'll need nothing, I would keep my stuff. :)
I never hated it, never attached the title "female genitalia" to it - there it is, shape of - kind of this... and that's all. However I've thought about it many times already, maybe a meta- would be fine too but why should I have a cut if it works fine for me, at the moment..? (I don't even pack, IDKW.)
Of course, I totally understand y'all guys who'd change but for myself... hmm, no need. If my brains feel that I am treated like a man, my genitalia IS something unique male and that's it.

I plan on going for Phallo rather than meta maybe its just me but I hate my lower parts I wouldn't even let my ex girlfriends touch it and my next girlfriend wont either. Say something goes wrong and i can't feel anything down there thats fine as long as it looks somewhat decent. Call me crazy, but thats just me.

No offense, but lrn2english.

Susan's is an international site that serves people from dozens and dozens of countries. If you don't like the way someone writes, you can always block that person. Attacks are uncalled for. I think you owe Caliyr a public apology.

And FWIW, his English is better than some of the writing I get from native speakers in my English classes. And those people are writing formal essays that supposedly took hours to write and revise. How do you think those students would feel if I told them "No offense, but lrn2english"?

I concur! Look great Andris, I can only imagine the changes once you do start T. Hopefully you decide to share with us!  :)

Regarding the OP - I have not considered phallo and don't believe it is something that will change in the coming years.

For a long time I identified as "stone" and had absolutely nothing to do sexually with my genitals. However, with time I have come to accept my genitals and have been able to degenderize them. I do not associate my clitoris, or vaginal opening, with my gender identity. To me it is simply my sexual organ(s). I went from completely 'stone' to being far more comfortable with exploring my sexuality with my partner who's own stone identity has evolved. Although I still have problems with her performing oral sex on me without my strap-on, I have no problems with her touching me.

Then again it is also a lot about the fact that she does not feminize me with her touch. Which is wonderful. For example, I could never feel comfortable with her strapping and penetrating me lol.

But yeah, I'm good with my goods. They are no longer tied to my gender identity. The clitoris holds over 8000 sensory nerve endings... and I'm not too keen on risking any sensation.

I don't have any problem with my genitals. I wish they were different, but they're not, and oh well. Yes, others have touched them, yes I enjoy it, yes I touch them often, and I find other men with typically "female" parts attractive, especially when testosterone-enhanced.
As for surgery... ehhh... someday medical science will advance enough that phalloplasty is an option for me, but to be frank -
- hehe, -
...I'd really rather not have a prosthetic penis. Having to pump it up, and possibly having no sensation? Yeah, no thank you. Not to mention I'll probably never be able to afford the surgery anyway.
I like my functioning micro-penis, thank you.
So possibly, metoidoplasty is an option, but I'm fine with what I have. I never understood the genital hate, possibly because physical sex and gender are completely unrelated in my mind (aside from the obvious fact being that most men have penises, and most women have vaginas) and so I don't think of my junk as being "girly-parts", since it belongs to a guy.
Unfortunately, it's shared with a lot of girls, so there's that...
Which has it's advantages, I mean, we know what to do when in bed with a girl, something that takes biological males practise.

Im guessing that Mr.Tentacles, youre just not as informed about the procedures and what the possible outcomes are, rather than just being offensive to those considering or having had the op (I for one, am having the surgery this Summer). I could be annoyed by that comment, but instead I assume you just havent read up recent information, as many phalloplasty results do end up with sensation now due to the improvements to the techniques. Also, not all guys opt for the erectile device (I dont want it. Too many risks and long term complications. And I dont want all this fiddly equipment in me). Also, after having spoken to guys post op, and the actual surgeon himself, Ive learnt that it is possible for guys (mainly the abdominal or thigh phallo, as opposed to forearm) to have penetrative sex without the erectile device. Instead, they can use their sensate, penis for sex, without pumping it.

So, theres a little bit of info for you :p

I never understood the lack of genital hate...!

Something that makes sense to me --> For so many guys to keep wanting phalloplasty results to improve before they consider it, how are surgeons going to perfect their techniques if 90% of guys have this attitude?  I'm not saying it's bad/wrong to want better results - not saying "be a guinea pig", but just saying it's something to bear in mind.  Surgery results can't improve if everyone approaches phallo with the "frankenstein cock" attitude I see all the time - there will be so few of us for surgeons to operate on and learn from that advances will be years coming.

Agreed.  I'm still thinking about having meta done first and then going back for phallo if necessary though.  But you're absolutely right.  Techniques can't improve if there are too few people to improve them on.

Guys would you mind sharing some links to this information? I would really be interested in reading about the advances. Regrettably when I do searches for it, I come across the same old images I've always come across. Which is deterring for me.

Same here with me too please if you guys don't mind.  :)  I can't seem to find new information on it.  I look on transbucket often only to see the same 21 pictures of phalloplasties done and some of those pictures won't even show up.  Despite what I said earlier I am still somewhat interested in the phalloplasty and may upgrade after a meta if I feel that won't personally satisfy me.

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought we were talking about personal preference here.
If you want surgery, that's fine. I don't.
My point was that I'm fine with what I have, and it looks to me like there are plenty of people who want surgery, and therefore, plenty of room for surgeons to improve.
I'd personally rather not risk it, and I'm sorry if my personal preference offended or annoyed anyone.

It was the wording that was seen as offensive, definitely not your personal preference.

I don't think people were put off so much by your preference for yourself--I think they were responding to some unfortunate phrasing in your post.

Actually, I haven't got the first clue of what to do with a girl in bed (and even less interest). Back when I was forcing myself to experiment with that sort of thing, I was quite the amateur, perhaps as incompetent as a regular guy messing around with girls for the first time. It was quite horrible, and a couple of times I found myself thinking, "How the f*** would I know what girls like?!" Those were weird moments indeed. :P
