The Equality Act, protecting LGB people from discrimination in regards to goods and services, came into effect yesterday. Transgender discrimination has not been addressed.

The Sexual Orientation Regulations, approved by Parliament last month, assure that businesses cannot discriminate on the grounds of sexual orientation.
