I had my endocrinologist appointment today.  He was ok..  My therapist said that this guy had a few transgender patients before, and decided she'd make an appointment for me. So she sent him a long letter about me and stuff.

Turns out she was wrong, the dude said he'd NEVER seen a trans person before, and that he didn't know how he could help.  AND he said T would cost $700. XD  Bull->-bleeped-<-.

He's full of ->-bleeped-<-.  He might be trying to sell it to you through his office or something, if he is just ask for the script and if they won't give it to you just go to another.

Hahaha, $700. How can an endo not know the price? Doesn't he treat dudes with hypogonadism? Guy is a fail indeed. Find a new one.

[ This doctor is not doing his job! Not surprise since we face many hurdles to overcome. find a new one on your own. I had to get my own for some of the doctors i needed .

Did he say $700 over what time? cause with my math...$700 of T could last you from 3 years to  maybe 50 years. Depending on dose, price, etc.

That's interesting.  Perhaps check with your therapist to make sure she sent to you the correct person.  If he was, make sure to let her know what happened.

Yeah, he said 3 months for the shot.

Hopefully I can find someone else, I would like to start soon.

I believe you were supposed to counter-offer. Everyone knows haggling is the sign of a good doctor.

Sometimes I stumble into the wrong forum and ran into this.  Oh my dear oh mercy!  People scared me with estrogen/spirol prices but truth is far less scary.  I would try finding a gay/trans health center, that is where I went because they deal with transgendered individuals every day!  With your psychologists note you probably can get T at a reasonable price in no time flat! (time it takes to read blood work and determine dosages).

I didn't have to endure 3 months of torture either.
