K well I just started hrt on Tuesday, and I am kinda wondering how much will change... I have done some reading and stuff on it, it is just really hard because the whole ymmv thing. Though I though I would post a picture here and see if I can get some opinions on like what to expect.

Anyways here is picture of me, it is like the first picture I have shared with like female attire on. So be gentle :)

I think you will be pleasantly surprised in 3 to 6 months. When I started out I was much less passable than you already are. I look forward to seeing the results.

HRT is a YMMV situation in all cases.
There is just no way to know how it will treat you until you have been on it for awhile.

However,
You have some good features. Provided you respond to the HRT in the standard fashion you should have no issues.
Give it 3 months and you will see some changes. Give it 6 months and your friends will start to notice. Give it a year and you will need to think about full time when people start calling you ma'am more and more often.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

It will be worth taking the same shot, say every three months. You are fairly slim and seem to have something of a waist so that is a good start.  It is impossible to predict as everyone really is different in their response, only time will tell.
As well as the  'boobage', you can expect a bit of fat redistribution to your hips and a softening and slight filling out of your face.  Beyond that only time will tell.  You are young which gives you an advantage over us old ducks.  :)

You are young and thin (no I don't hate you...  ;D ) and if you are serious let your hair grow out and let the hormones do their thing, you will look great! Just be careful - this is a life changing decision.
Be true to yourself, even if no one else will...

You should grow breasts, probably.  You'll likely start looking more feminine in the face, maybe. You might be quite passable after an indefinite period of time, possibly. There will be changes, but there is just no real telling until you actually get there. It could surprise you, make you elated or disappoint the heck out of you. That's just the nature of it.

Good luck:)

You have a few things going for you: youth (HRT works best), an already pretty feminine physic, and beautiful face.

Depending on the hormonal regime and dosing, you could start feeling your breast tingle and become sore and sensitive within a few days or weeks. In my case, it did happen within 2 weeks, now, 8 month later I am between and A and B cup.

Other changes: more hair in my head, less body hair(I did not have much to begging with), softer skin, less muscle, I lost an inch in height. I am developing a female pouch under my belly button, and my hips have grown. Brain wise: more bitchy, more emotional, dislikes fighting sports ( I used to like it), carbs addiction, no erections what so ever. Still attracted to girls, but have develop a sort of interest in the boys

I think you are going to be gorgeous in eight months.

Good luck,

Peky

PS BTW I am in my fifties  :)

Thank you for all the replies :). So pretty much wait and see lol. I just hope I can look in the mirror one day and just see me, like I can see myself now its just I see sooo many little things that I hate about my appearance that it all adds up and I just get overwhelmed. Anyways ya I am trying to grow out my hair, just got out of the military last November so had it like real short :(. But ya I know I am relatively young I guess, but tbh it doesn't feel that way. Like I am planning on going to university, most likely after my transition. I just think that I will be like pretty much 25, while most of the people there will be fresh out of high school. Just feel like I am missing a part of my life :(. Though I am pretty sure almost everyone here can relate to that *sigh* comes with the territory I guess.

Oh and just a quick little blip, umm did anyone else start to feel like really lethargic and just really tired just after starting hormones? Been feeling that way for the last couple of days now, though I didnt really get gradually put on them or anything. It was just kinda like all at once... not sure if that makes a difference. Generally though how long does that take to go away, at least from your experience anyways?

You will adjust. Your lowering the testosterone in your body. T gives power, you are going to become as weak as a standard issue girl in about 2 years time.

Lol I know I am not that far off right now :). I was more referring to just like I am tired all day and I am sleeping a lot more like 12 hrs a night... I was thinking maybe once everything balances out and stops fighting each other that I will get a lot of my energy back. Was kinda just wondering how long that takes.

the reason that teen agers sleep so much is that their bodies are in puberty and thus need lots of rest to grow. Your cells do not divide durring the waking period and tissues and organs do not repair when you are awake. It requires deep sleep to get proper cell growth and tissue and organ repair.
You are in puberty again, so you need lots of rest to build your new body.
(proper nutrition and hydration are very helpful also)

Stephanie,
You're fine.  You being younger, the results will be more likely more dramatic than in my older body.  I do have a softer appearance, thinner body hair and beard, hips more defined.  I am not presenting as female yet, but the style of clothing would of a modern 60 year old Boomer.  However, heed the disclaimers and warnings mentioned above and on your medication.
Your results will vary as with the rest of us here.  I had the overactive libedo disappear in 2 1/2 weeks and about two months when I noticed a change in my emotional state, as some changes will sneak up on you like the latter.  Soreness in the nipples starting from 1 week or less is normal, some transitioners will take months as the HRT regimen is adjusted to your situation.  Don't dispair if nothing happens for awhile.  Your doctor may change the the type of HRT regimen and/or dosages.  Please be patient, I had to wait 58 years to start.

Even at 25 things are just sprouting up like its no ones business but I have also seen transgendered individuals with a feminine frame but no breasts.  Genes matter more than anything so you don't get disappointed if it doesn't happen.  Good news is many of us do experience significant growth.

You are also very very skinny, give your body a fighting chance.  Eat more carbs and fatty food, you will want to gain a little bit of weight for hormones.  You don't want to stunt your growth due to lack of nutrition.   You can always loose the second layer of baby fat later~

You see, libido is a funny thing.  In terms of motor functionality, it is far less functional than it ever was.  I can still get it up but sometimes its just not the same kind.  Rather not get vivid in detail.  I found that you have more control over telling yourself your not in the mood and well mood is far more important than it ever was.

But at the same time my libildo itself as INCREASED, as in when I want to be I feel a thousand times more sexual and in tune with my desires than I ever was before E.  At the same time I don't feel a serious disgust with my genitals, but the feeling of being a woman makes me feel sexy for the first time.  That emotion feeds into my mood much greater than it ever has before as I never felt sexy before.

Over the last few years HRT has been nice to me, but it did not give me a breast size I was happy with.
So I went to a surgeon and now my breasts are the perfect size for my frame and I love them.

Stick Kiera Knightley or someone's face on that and I wouldn't know the difference. Your body is pretty much already female. You'll be a knockout in no time.

Well I am kinda have a good outlook on breast growth or whatever, cause like at one point I was on just-antiandrogens for like 3 months and they already budded and whatnot. but ya about the whole eating more, ummm I know like before hrt(not to sure about now hasnt been long enough) but like I ate whatever I wanted 3 meals a day. I ate out for two months straight, and I just never gained any weight. I joined the military and even with all their physical exercise in basic like pushups and all that stuff I maybe gained like 5 pounds. I am kinda hoping that I can gain a little weight though like would be nice to have fuller hips.

Awww thanks, I am actually kinda happy with my body minus the fact the my shoulders are a few inches wider than my hips, hoping that changes. As well as just the whole ribcage thing. I am just crossing my figures that hrt does wonders for my face, would be nice to not have to spend much money on ffs. I think I am going to get the whole brow bossing and the jaw bone thing regardless just because it really bothers me :(

Ya I am hoping I can get them naturally, though if I can't then I will have to save the money to do that :(

Ya I still slept longer than normal last night but at least today I wasn't tired like all day so that seems to be getting a bit better.

Thanks again everyone for the input, I appreciate it.
