OK heres what's going on, most of you know I'm going out tomorrow night to my friends birthday, right so here's the trouble, I'm not on T yet but since starting my transition I've kinda started to "notice" my friend a little more. (in a non sexual way). what I'm saying is i have feelings for her. and want to be her boyfriend. I've never been in a relationship before, hell i haven't even kissed any one :embarrassed:. how can i tell her about my feelings for her?

At the end of the day, no matter how you go about it, you just have to go for it. End result is the same anyway, it's always a plunge.

Male - female relationship. Female wants male to relate to her. Talk to her, compliment her, treat her as you would like to be treated. Dance, have fun, have jokes. As far as kissing, she will lead; just be ready to notice, and be very gentle. no tongue. Let her lead.

Have Fun.

I hope you'll accept a couple tips from me. I haven't dated in about 20 years since I got married but things probably haven't changed much since then.

* Most important: Have fun. Dating is enjoyable. The stakes are high, I know, especially if the person is important to you, but you can tie yourself in knots overthinking. Have fun. If it works out, great. If not, wasn't meant to be.

* Remember you're a valuable friend, and an interesting and attractive person. Any girl, ANY girl, would be lucky to have you as a boyfriend. Hopefully, she'll see this, but if she doesn't, it is definitely her loss.

* Approach her like you would approach anyone else. Be yourself, get to know her, let her get to know you. You don't need to "tell her about your feelings". By seeing you interested in getting to know her and treating her specially, she'll figure them out.

* You mentioned in an earlier thread about needing to impress her. I agree you want to dress and act in a way that shows respect. But she will be impressed by the wonderful and interesting person you are. All you need to do is let her see that.

Justin, I really hope this advice will be useful. I wish I had someone tell me all this when I started dating. Please post how it goes.

*Good luck hug!*

good luck  ;D

best advice i can offer is to just play it by ear. If it feels right say it, if it feels wrong don't say it. That's how i approach these situations and it works for me.
