So this is basically just a rant about not being on T, but being exposed to a ton of it and being frustrated!

My partner's father is on T cream, AndroGel I think it's called. I guess older guys take it to help with sex drive and stuff? Anyway, we happened to be at his parents house yesterday while they were out, and he showed me his dad's T supply. It was a ton of the little single use packets of T cream, a whole box full. I'm not stupid (or desperate enough, yet) to take T without a doctor's supervision. But dang. Seeing all of that T, right there for the taking, really frustrated me!!

I've been undecided on going on T and fully transitioning for a while now. I have a lot of family issues that make it very difficult to be "out" and to ever transition. I know that someday I'm going to have to choose...myself, or my family. But for now I kind of live in between: I'm myself and out with some people, but have to be a girl at work and with family. Seeing all that T really made me dysphoric and drove home the point that MAYBE I really do need to transition to be happy. It gave me a lot to think about regardless.

Thanks for reading all of this. I know I was basically just whining, but it was really hard to control myself and not just go T-crazy when I saw all of it. I mean, it's not shots, but it's something! Guess I have a lot of thinking to do...thanks guys  :)

Hey, I believe that we have the ability to take care of ourselves. I know we're trained to think we can't do anything without the help of someone higher up in authority, but since I've never had insurance, I've always been on my own for my own medical care. I know to stay within dosage limits or take an exact dose of something. I'm not a druggie who fiends for anything I can get my hands on. If I had T in front of me, I wouldn't inject the whole bottle. I've also learned to know my body, and know when something's wrong and to know when medicine is way bad for me. For example, a lot of prescription drugs and Alieve (god that stuff is evil!) make me deathly ill. Do you think I took a second pill after feeling like I was gonna die? It's as simple as knowing when something's wrong. I also know a fair amount about supplements for liver support, for those on T, because I know you need to watch your liver. I also know you can get bloodwork done cheaper by ordering it online and going to a

I can relate to this, before I got on testogel my dad was on it for his ill health, resisting was torture. The thought that T was in my house but I couldn't use it or anything was horrendous! It's not the most pleasant of things is it?!

Thefire...I'm really not sure what you're talking about, but thanks for trying to help :)

Thanks CJ...yeah it's definitely not fun. But I know it's right not to give in. Are you on T now?

The ticker in his signature should be the first clue.

Interesting, I didn't know you could set that.

It's under the Look and Layout button. It really shrinks the size of each post, helpful for phone posting like I do. Hugs, Devlyn

Yeah mate, been on T for just over 2 months now, such a relief that I don't have to keep staring at it and not being able to touch it anymore! Don't worry, it's worth the wait! Very frustrating but it means you will be more grateful when you start

Yeah, it's always best to wait and have a professional prescribe the dose. A lot safer that way.

Ack, sorry everyone. It didn't load properly when I posted that so I didn't see his ticker thing. Congrats CJ! I hope you're right and it's worth the way. Definitely frustrating, but good things come to those who wait, I guess :)
