hi everyone. I am really keen to hear from girls who have had forehead work done by Dr Zukowski, especially if done endoscopically. I would prefer the minimally invasive technique and also do not want too much of a change. but i am concerned  that my sinuses are not compromised by the burring.

has anyone heard of any previous Dr Z patients who have problems with their sinuses post op or even if he has ever ended up burring too close and then pierced through into the sinus cavity during the actual surgery?? A lot of people, including some surgeons, warn against the brow burring technique (as opposed to setback) because of the potentially for ending up with a very thin protective boney layer over the sinuses (or for breaking into them during the procedure) This has made me hesitate from going for the burring, but equally, I have not heard multiple horror stories of this going wrong. This does not mean that it doesn't happen, as sometimes with complications the person will become depressed and retreat away from forums, so you do not necessarily hear from them again. If girls want to message me rather than write a reply here that's fine.

I am particularly keen to hear from jennajane as you seemed to have a very similar attitude to surgery to me, and were keen not to allow Dr Z to go 'all out' on your face! I definitely do not want aggressive surgery or a surgical look with sky-high eyebrows etc.  jenna, i cannot do a personal message yet, so if you can to me could you get in touch?

the variations in forehead techniques , is whats making is so confusing for me to choose a surgeon  so i know where youre coming from

I had forehead work done by Dr. Z.  He also typically injects fat into the temples for projection.

There was very little pain post op and it heals fast. The hairline advancement feels somewhat numb for sometime.  He gives a big presentation on how it reduces the risk of sinus infections compared to taking out the forehad bone and reshaping. 

I'm happy with it so far. What some say is that removing and reshaping the forehead bone is more aggressive for very protruding foreheads. I met other Dr Z patients who had a prominent brow and turned out well after.   So I say if you go with Dr Z you will be on the safer end of things in terms of pain and after effects.  Let me know if you have questions.

do you think the fat grafting to the temples lasts? i really need some volume there.

I think so for the most part. I am 2 months out of surgery. Its hard to say at this point. No former patient I met had commented on an issue about it. 

Thats a question you can ask Dr.Z too. But one thing to note is that the scar from the incision of the forehead from Dr. Z is notably smaller than other surgeons who make the scar from earline to earline.   

At six months out I still have all my fat grafts except the one on my right temple.

I can't speak to permanent durability, but it didn't just go away immediately.

Jeneva - is it really noticeable that there is still fat on one side but not on the other? i guess you could try fillers if so, but have no experience of them though so no idea if they are good in that area.

The doctor tells you upfront you will likely lose around 30% of fat injection into any body part.  But its subtle.

Yes I thought of that too, if for some reason it feels like a lot of the fat graft is lost a year or later down the line, a filler is possibel or it might be possible to get a fat injection on a short lighter visit.
