I noticed a mention in the badass thread about this and felt like starting a thread about it. I wear my pants far below my hips because it makes them disappear. My mom and brother are constantly bitching about it because they're always falling more than intended, and I pull them up a bit but I can't wear my jeans up too high or my hips just pop out. How many guys out there do the same?

Uh...where on your body do you wear your pants? To me "below the hips" means you have them under your butt/at the top of your thigh or lower and to me that doesn't really make much sense.

I've always worn my pants really low on my hips, even before I realized I was trans. Wearing them higher triggers my sensory issues, and after my hips developed I always hated them enough to want to hide them, so...

I think he's saying he wears them on his hip dip-the flat part of your hips.

I wear them where ever they fit me really.  A lot of my trousers don't fit because I have no idea what size I am, although I'm just starting to work out that I'm probably a 11-12 y/o boys, so I put them on and then shove them down as far as they will go over my hips (which isn't far) and leave them at that so I don't look like an old man.

I do wear them lower, like I don't have them at my belly, lol, but I have a very strict rule of thumb that the pant line can never fall below the buttcrack.

Like Andy, my pants hang below my gut but definitely not below buttcrack. Most sagging annoys me, I don't need to see eight inches of your red and white polka-dot boxers.

well i've got about six or seven inches between the top of my hips to the tip of my crack. so i wear em right above the crack.. or right at it.

As far as redic "fashion" trends go, this one tops my list. It's inexplicable to me why you would want your ass hanging out of your pants. And as I said over in the "Do I pass" thread, belting your pants right there and then sagging them is only drawing attention to that area of your body (this makes the "but I have hips!" argument invalid)! It's like chubby chicks who insist on wearing shirts that don't cover their muffin tops. Where do you look? Right at that muffin  hanging out there for all to see. And in the case of sagging pants, if you didn't have that thin piece of underwear fabric there you'd be Joe the frekin' plumber. If pants are going below your ass crack, that's a problem. You're not "cool", most people are either laughing at you or shaking their heads, or being disgusted by seeing your ass.

I wear my pants below my hips because all my jeans are old, and I bought them when I had larger hips, but now my hips have shrunk so my pants sag  :(

I should really just buy some new jeans. It's been like 4 years.

I don't know if it's just my body shape but I've never understood this advice...if I wear my jeans low then my hips are even more obvious...I just get a muffin top effect which is never attractive

I wear my pants low-ish, but definately without a buttcrack. Don't feel like it would hide my hips though, I think my hips aren't noticable because my pants fit well and my shirts/blouses are a tad bit too big. (I like well fitting shirts, it's just hard to find the right size)

But mostly, this..

I wear mine below my muffin top...unless they are work pants/dress pants then I'll at the very least TRY to wear them at around belly button level. My issue with all pants is that no matter what I do, even if I wear a belt, they all end up at the same place (unless I have them up REALLY high at my "natural waist."

Mine aren't saggy exactly but they are baggy. Men's pants fit oddly so there is an issue there. I'd rather not squish myself.

The only way to find if it makes a difference is to compare. I'm doing just that.

Hm. Your butt looks a little flatter with your pants sagged maybe, but other than that I don't really see a difference.

(The side view on the right is sagged, right?)

Right is sagged on the side view.
I think from the back and the side it makes a difference. Makes my butt look bigger having them up higher.

Yeah, but it doesn't make a noticeable difference in the hip area. Not that you've really got hips to begin with.

Hip-wise it doesn't look much different, but in terms of overall look the sagged ones make you pass much more, but without going to the extent of being sagged to the point of showing off your underwear.
