Took my studs out for a photo shoot after one week of them being in and I cant get them back in  :-\
Now I have to go into the city to ask the lady in the jewlers if perhaps she would fit them back in for me.
the lady could not do it either and said the backs will seal over in just a few hours !
So I ended up having to have another pair put in.

Moral of the story is DONT TAKE THEM OUT BEFORE 5 WEEKS HAVE PASSED.

Good advice Holly!

I'd been counting the hours 'till mine healed myself... I've read that SIX weeks are recommended, but I risked it at five... and they've been fine.

You can kinda tell when they're healed I think, as mine always felt... STICKY sorta when I'd twirl them for the first few weeks. Like there was resistance. But somewhere around week 3+, I could spin them easily... so I figured they were pretty much healed for sure by five weeks.

Can you see the holes still? I mean, mine are like tiny pinpricks. It takes me a second to figure out where to push them through...

And don't forget to disinfect them a couple times a day AND twirl them a bit!

hehe..I've had my gauges for two years or so and I"m afraid to leave them out for longer than 5 min or it'll be hard to get back in. But i remember when I first got them pierced it was a bitch to change earrings cuz it was hard to find the hole again.

wash your hands really well before touching newly pierced anything hehe.. and yeah earlobe piercings will take 5-6 weeks to heal.. and even then if you took them out for more then a few days they might heal over...  cartalidge takes longer to heal..
