I just found a link to this UK-based large shoes sizes company, thought others here might be interested. I'm particularly delighted to see wellies* in my size that aren't black/green :D.

*that's 'gumboots', for the transatlantic among us :).

I've just 'splashed out' on a pair of the autumn leaves wellies, since I'm going on a singing camp in a couple of weeks' time, and it's bound to be squelchy now that what used to be the British Summer has morphed into the Monsoon Season.

Has the weather really changed that much in the 12 years since I lived there? That's not good.

Well, it's been raining almost every day for the last couple of months :). These days we get a short summer in September, but July/August (which used to be hot and dry) are now wet and windy. But the weather's gone wonky all over the world, these days. At least I'll have snazzy wellies.

From the title i expected a raincoat, i wasnt disapointed. I herd on BBC world service via NPR that a big paper in london published an op-ed saying that the rain has got to stop. The irony of course is that this came right after a report that droughts in texas were driving people out of business.

Amazing the world we live in.
