Awhile back as some of you may remember, I entered myself in a youtube contest to win free made to measure shirts. I came in second place which was supposed to be for one shirt but it ended up being $100 credit to the site where you pretty much make whatever you want. I was able to budget it out so I could get two shirts (and a free tie) instead of one. Well, I finally ordered the shirts on Friday (I think?) and got pictures to get approval and I have to say something...

OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD YOU GUYS! THESE SHIRTS ARE GOING TO LOOK SO AMAZING!

I've been sitting here with my body doing all of its weird twitchy muscle movement things that happen when I get excited (toes wiggling, feet shuffling around, random squeeks of joy).

One shirt I made more casual, short sleeves, button down collar. The other is long sleeves with a short collar and narrow spread. If they fit properly these are going to look so incredibly awesome on me.

The pictures are only of the shoulder because that's the part I had problems with getting right before.

Yes, random squeeks. I guess not so random since they happen when I'm excited.

Okay I totally ordered one of their $19.95 special shirts. I've never owned a blue oxford shirt and I spent $10 extra customizing it a little bit. So it will be interesting to see if it fits like a dream since it's being made off my own measurements.

Actually...it's better to go based off of a shirt you own that fits. I found they added way too much fabric when I ordered a slim fit based on my measurements. However...if you get the shirt and it's an awful fit you can contact customer care. They'll suggest you measure a shirt that fits you well. If you find that the arms and sleeves of their shirt fits then just use the measurements from that shirt in those places, and subtract or add in spots where you want more or less fabric.

Yeah that's what I did ... measured an existing shirt (except for I did shorten the sleeve length because while the existing shirt fits everyone else the sleeves are still too long on me). And I also ordered slim fit, so hopefully it will come out right.

If you're measuring the shirt, and using the "shirt measurement" type profile it will essentially fit exactly like that shirt. The slim fit vs normal fit only matters if the measurement profile is from your body.

I've also been speaking to tailors about what problems I had with my previous shirt in an attempt to get this one to fit better. If you see something that looks weird please point it out!

Cool. I just got an email that they shipped my shirt so fingers crossed that it fits ok!

Those are very cool shirts, I will check out the website for sure.  Congrats on the win, enjoy.  You are going to look very sharp steppin out in the new shirts.

Mine should be coming today. Maybe tomorrow but my best guess based in the tracker is today. Will post pics.

Go my shirts today and...well...I'm kind of upset with the fit.


The bottom flares out a bit and there's a strange fold in the armpit area on the front.


This one has the same issue as well as the top/front not laying flat where the buttons are.
