I have my script but... The cost is ridiculous. My doc put me on this because it's a smoother emotional transition than the shots. And I have insurance but I have yet to call and see if it's covered (most likely not). Ideas? I have a part time job as does my girlfriend (she's going to help pay). I'm probably just going to call my doctor and ask about the shots instead.

I would just call the doc and get shots.  Do them weekly.  Everyone I know of who has split their dose from every 14 days to every week has had no problem with their hormones not being even.

Yeah Androgel was costing me $70/ month with insurance; it's like $300/ month without! GAK!

Do you have access to a compounding pharmacy? My understanding, and I don't know much about this is that this type of pharmacy can compound a cream with the approp. dose of T. It might be a little messier than the gel but it would be a LOT cheaper.

Maybe someone else has more info??

Try the Abbott patient forms? You can get a free or discounted supply of Androgel through them. That, or you could return to the shots if you're willing.

1- smutty you look freakin awesome! I hope I can look half as good as you!
2- do you know what cvs Caremark is? My mom has that with our insurance or something I guess and it lowers the copay so much. Like I'm not covered for AndroGel under insurance but I am covered through/by pharmacy or something. My mom is not supportive at all so she could take me off her insurance and stuff but I doubt it.
