I was wondering since I have really thick long blond vellus hairs in the check and sideburn area would dying it with facial hair dye work or would I end up just dying my face? I would trim it upper shave it if it looks bad dyed.

Anyone done it before?

i stained my face lol, but it looked awesome the next morning ^_^

I've done it before, mate. I used Just For Men sideburn and mustache dye.  Just be sure to get a colour that matches your head hair or it will look fake/weird.  I made the mistake of using the little applicator brush and mopping the gel onto my face.  It stained the hell out of my skin and took 3 days of vigorous and painful scrubbing to get it off.  That being said, the hair looked great!  And sorry but those techniques for removing hair dye from skin (i.e. cigarette ashes, baking soda with dishwash liquid, etc.) did not work.  I FINALLY got most of it off with fingernail polish remover.  Apply the dye LIGHTLY is the moral here!

Just to add, my brother despite having dark brown hair on his head, consistentally gets lots of light brown or even blonde facial hair,  he too uses just for men, and it seems to work out pretty well, since others here have mentioned it too, i think it is pretty good place to start.

I've seen people do it and it looks really good. I'd just be careful of staining your face

Thanks I think I'm gonna try it but Im gonna see if I can use a mascara applicator  instead of the brush because mascara applicators tend to be really good fro just getting the stuff on my hair like when I do the mascara thing on my sideburns they look really good.

try using olive oil to remove the staining you have to get to it straight away though
a friend of mine who is a hair dresser  taught me this and  it works when my mum dyes her hair

Vaseline works pretty well.
I always used to use that years ago when I dyed my hair to keep from staining my face.

I can vouch for Vaseline, it works great.

If you just want it temporarily or the dye doesn't work out (or if anyone else wants to try this), I've been using mascara for about a year now and as long as its done right, you can't tell even up close.

The only trick to it really is making sure the applicator thing isn't drenched in the stuff. Dryer works a lot better.
