I have decided I am way to big and I want to try to get smaller and lose more weight. I am going to try cutting out soda, junk food, etc. from my diet.
The only thing is my family doesn't eat to healthy so we rarely have fruits or vegitables in the house.
Also I think I am so big that like I get really hungry when I try to eat less and watch what I eat.

7/22/12  - 271 lbs.

I will update this post once a week with my current weight.

Firstly, congratulations and I wish you all the best in your endeavour. Sometimes the hardest step is the first  :) Here are a few tips, which may or may not be useful to you -

Having a concerted switch to healthy eating from all your family will make it easier to introduce fruit and veg into your diet. If you're inclined, then try to switch fast foods/ready meals to home cooking - its healthier, cheaper and can bring the family together (like everyone cooks one day a week or so).

Sticking to having 3 meals a day sounds simple but it can actually help you lose weight. If you adhere to the three meals, you can eradicate the in-between mealtime snacks that really put on the pounds. Also, if you have a glass or two of water after a long meal, that can lead to you feeling fuller for longer.

Some people like to count the calories they eat then cut-out the unhealthy foods. Or restrict themselves to a limit.

I found that lots of exercise was good. You're too busy to concentrate on food, think of all the calories you're burning off and ,personally, afterwards I'm never particularly hungry.

Anyway, if any of these help then excellent. As SourCandy said, its a slow process but if it becomes routine, the benefits are amazing
All the best

remove wheat (bread) and milk products from your diet along with the soda's etc.   It will work.
Good luck.
