congrats!

the best part of life is about to start, the part where you get to be you and others can see it!

I would watch some youtube videos on doing an IM shot. I did before I started and I am glad I did. Gave me the confidance to do it right. (injecting T and E is the same thing, stab the butt or thigh and inject)
:)

Oh and full disclosure....when I was on injectable E I would just have my spouse do it for me and when it wass time to give hir an injection I do it for hir.

we have both gone to other delivery methoods for HRT
ze uses Testim gel and I go with oral E.

Your T will be labled X amount of ML with Y amount of T in MG per ML.

If you have insulin needles you have the wrong needles. Take them back and tell them you need an IM needle. Preferably in a 22-25 gauge.

If you are not clear on your doseing you must call your provider and have them clarify for you because we are not allowed to tell you that information on this site. (what if I got it wrong?)

Precisely.

He should get the information from the health care provider.

Thank you everyone :)

And regarding the questions I had, I did talk to my pharmacist and she went over everything with me.
:) i feel wonderful.

The oddest part of all of it, my t was only a dollar. my needles costed more than my script (4$) because of my insurance.
i was honestly under the impression it wouldn't be covered and be paying an arm and a leg.

it's crazy. and now i'm hungry lol.  so i think i'm going to eat something.

thanks again everyone!!

even if your insurance wouldn't have covered it injectable T isn't that expensive. That is why so many of you guys are on injectables as oppossed to T gels.

When we were paying for Sevans T it was like 30 bucks for a couple months supply. When ze went on the gel we were very lucky that insurance covered it because a months worth of Testim runs over 300 bucks! (the odd part? the insurance will cover the gel but not the injectable!?!)

Just a guess, but maybe because the gel is commonly prescribed for andropause (male menopause)? We're getting a rash of ads now for androgel.

This is not correct. There are many FTMs taking oil-suspended T (enanthate and cypionate) using insulin needles for sub-cutaneous injection.

Yes, the usual administration of T is IM, which uses longer needles (18-20 to draw, then switch to a gauge you are comfy with - I use 25). But more guys are doing sub-q to reduce pain and anxiety, and the blood level profiles are the same as with IM shots.
