Not sure if i'm in the right place for this but just thought i'd let you know that i've got my date for top surgery. my fingers are crossed while i'm typing this in case putting it down in black and white jinxes it- but ive got my pre op assessment on Tues 31st July then surgery on 9th August.

Great news! That's right around the corner!

Congratulations, it will be here before you know it.  I am 10 days post op from top surgery so I remember the excitement very well.  Hope all goes well for you and that recovery is a breeze.

Congratulations! You'll feel so awesome afterwards, guaranteed! I can totally relate to not wanting to jinx anything, though, haha. I had surgery on July 26th (a few days ago) and even the day of the surgery I was worried that something would happen to stop it from happening, lol. I wasn't really able to let myself get hyped until I was there in the clinic waiting, lol. I just thought it was too good to be true. But don't worry about jinxing it, it'll happen dude, and you'll feel better than you ever have in your life!

@ Make_It_Good- i'm going under Mr Caddy at Sheffield, apparently he took it up again when Leicester stopped. Had my pre op yesterday and that all went well so just counting down the days hours and minutes now.

August is still hot, a great time to get surgery, Not like me having it during the winter going around in Tshirt in snow because I was too stuborn to wear hoddies.. heeh..

I m usually in t shirts in winter anyway cos i tend not to feel the cold. But i just made the mistake of watching the operation on you tube and i'm now feeling slightly squeamish and bleurgh

Oh cool, I had mine in Leicester.

Ah, well just think, even if you are feeling squeemish, youll remember being given the anaesthetic, and the next thing is, youll wake up post op!
