I'm new here so I thought I'd dabble with a shot at something that's currently science-fiction. But has anyone here put much thought into it. By Ftb I mean full body transplant, or brain transplant depending on your liking.
       My idea is that they engineer clones that we can have made to fit our desires. Of course you run into moral issues, and the illusion of immortality for the rich... Either way it sounds cool. Again I'm new here so I'm sorry if Inposted in the wrong place. I'm  Mtf hoping on starting Hrt soon, but I'm really interested in your opinions.

I think about this EVERY DAY. It's an enduring fantasy of mine to be lifted out of this crippled, ugly body and installed into a beautiful and healthy one. As a card-carrying transhumanist, I expect it will be possible someday.

I guess I used to. But I don't really anymore. Certain parts of my body, like my chest and front hole feel like they're not mine at all. I want them gone/amended. But the rest of me is me. My eyes are mine. My hair is mine. My skin is mine. my hands are mine. I want my face to continue changing on T, but it's my face - I see it every day when I wake up, and every day on T it becomes more and more familiar. All the little things that make me who I am are me.

As much a "futurist" as I am, I don't think medical science will be able to transplant a brain into another body.

I do, however, for see advances in repairs to the nervous system, so that those with devastating spinal injuries, or neurological diseases, will have the opportunity for nearly full functionality.

my issue is that there are many versions of the human experience, and I would like another now

Robert Heinlein wrote about this in "Time enough for Love" I think.  Turned out that the woman's soul (his PA) was still hanging around.  Strange story, but then a lot of his were metaphysical.

I think it was Robert Heinlein's 'I will Fear No Evil". It saved my life. My parents thought I was reading science fiction. Instead I was living in another world, and body.

Geez that brought back some memories in a rush and a half. Whooo

I would do it in a heart beat.  I hate every inch of my body and the the poor health it is in.  If there was a chance to change it to who I would want to look like then I would pay a lot of money to do so.

I would like to find a way to shapeshift myself, but that's not possible. The idea of having my brain transplanted in another body bothers me. I would rather be able to change my body to be a cis male.

This is just what I really long for, and it's not only about gender which is still a big part of it.

As long as we're going to throw realism out the window, here is what I would do today if it were possible. Actually, I would've done it last year when the incident took place. I read in the news about a teen girl who murdered a neighbor girl for fun. So rather than let the body rot in prison (which is deserved in the real world), I would tell her she doesn't deserve to be a girl anymore and take possession of her body. Her soul could become a restless spirit or be banished somewhere. I know this raises a question about wanting or taking a body that shed blood, but it isn't like this is really possible anyway.

Yes, this has always been a fantasy that this could happen and solve my and others inner issues. To be able to select anew body from a catalogue for all your desired traits and sex. Walk in and literally walk out a new person in the same day. I think most people here would be more than interested in taking a new body for a spin.

Only problem is that I also have these images of Steve Martin from the Man with two brains!

I love my body. What's inside it as well. It just had a misfortunate accident at birth and a few parts were 'displaced.' I've hence been told this mishap is correctable by surgery. Bring it ON.
