Elissa

Hello lovely ones,

Again, and for the 3rd month now, my girls are neither sore nor tender! It is weird, my Dr. put me on injections instead of pills for that reason and I take one injection per week but it's been 3 months and nothing going on, my Dr. is not too informative and whenever I ask him he says: you worry too much, wait 3 yrs!!

I cannot believe this is happening, I have been on HRT (Estradiol, Progesterone and Spironolactone) for 13 m now, 10 months on E. pills and the past 3 months E. IM injection weekly, did they stop growing? I am barely size A and I will be 31 so soon, my entire family is D and DD.. What's going on with mine, not pain or tenderness at all, I am sad.

I appreciate any advice.

Thanks ladies,

Elissa

I have a similar experience. My sister (never pregnant) is a 26DD, and my mom is an F or G. It's quite amazing, really. However, I am eighteen now, and after one-and-a-half years on hormones, and almost no pain or tenderness, I have reached perhaps a 30AA. I haven't measured my cup size properly, so I'm not sure if I'm actually big enough to be an AA, but I could guess that I might be.

It's worth noting that my BMI is 17.2. 98.5lbs at 5'3.5". My weight could be a massive factor... however, my sister is very slim too, so I would think that, if I were at a proper weight, it might not do much more for me. That, however, is guesswork at best.

My estrogen and testosterone levels are in their correct ranges and have been for at least fourteen months of my nineteen on HRT. Even when they have grown, I haven't received much pain or tenderness - I have noticed one or two instances of slight sensitivity, so I can't say "none" accurately, but none would probably be more accurate than "a little".

Edited in light of Padma's post to improve the precision of the conveyance of my experience.

Hi Elissa, welcome.

Despite what people say, the size you end up with is much more of a lottery than "my family is... so I should be..." (and even if that were a good guide, which it often isn't, you need to compare to your family's breasts pre-pregnancy for a proper comparison).

And there are women on here whose breasts grew really fast, and others who waited years for them to blossom :). And they do grow in waves, so it's not unusual for there to be no growth (and therefore no soreness) for several months at a time.

Do you have blood test results that show what your current estrogen and testosterone levels are?

I've been on hormones for over 2 1/2 years now.
Your breasts will grow at the rate, and to the size, determined by your genetics, i.e. in their own time.  As noted above, some people mature at different times and is a process that takes several years to complete just like in GG's.
I am a size 36B. My breast have grown in spurts.
In bewteen they were not sensitive. Each of us will respond to the hormone differently.
Even if most of your family has large breast you may not. Give them time and don't worry about it. There is more to life than just large breasts Elissa.

I have been on HRT (pills) for 4 years now and I am just a 38B.  Yes I would love to be bigger, but ...   Well that is why there is a BA.

My only hurt at the beginning and then nothing.  But they still develop.

I know it is hard, but give them some time.  If you go three or four years and are still not happy, contact a surgeon.

Give it time. cis girls dont develop into c cups in a year and a half.

As the others mentioned above, it's hard to predict such things. Everyone's physiology is different and responds to HRT differently. The female relatives in your family can only be at best sometimes, a loose guide to what sort of breast development to expect, but not always.

It took my body more than two years to achieve a "big" AA. Certainly, it is not much but looks natural on my rather slim and slightly athletic physique. During the last years there was no further increase in size, btw. So I supposed the maximum has been achieved after a little more than two years.

Btw, I never noticed being recognized less female due to my small breast size. Many women with similar physiques look the same. I'm happy because it looks natural.

Generally the earlier you begin transition, the larger your breasts will develop. Breast growth for trans women can (though rarely) take up to 10 years to fully complete, again depending on when you began HRT.
Follow is a timeline to help explain breast growth in transgendered women:

3-6 Months continuous HRTBy this point you should be experiencing tenderness, tingles, and itchy skin around your nipple area. A small bud should begin to develop under your nipple at the 6 month point.
7-12 Months continuous HRT
By this point you will have obvious buds beneath your nipples, and will be experiencing quite a bit of tenderness in same area. Growth in this period is very intense, in terms of the body building the tissue which will eventually expand to make the shape of the breast cup.
13-24 Months continuous HRT
Within this timeframe, you will experience sporadic periods of growth, and non-growth, and by the end of this point in the timeline, you should have developed, at the very least, an A cup breast. You should still be experiencing tenderness, and discomfort in the breast area, but be reassured that this is good, and means your breasts are growing.
25-48 Months continuous HRT
By this point you will know if your breasts have completed their growth cycle, or if they continue to growth. If by this point you are still experiencing discomfort, and pain, and the buds beneath your nipples are still hard, then they have not completed the growth cycle. If they have expanded, and began to fill the larger area of your breast, then your cycle has completed.
49 Months and Beyond
At this point, you should have fully developed, or near fully developed breasts. You may notice a fluctuation in size, depending on weight gain, and loss, and your breasts "tissue" still may continue to grow, and expand.

I found this online at another trans site hope this helps to give you an outlook into what to expect of breast growth.

This coincides very much with my own experience.

After not a lot happening following an initial growth spurt, mine have suddenly decided to grow again.  It is just one of those things I guess.  Regardless of their size I like them.

Mine grew pretty fast in 5 months, but apparently it is highly variable.

Mine grew a lot after my GRS, much to my dismay. I thought I was perfect when I had surgery. I also have implants which I had done a year before GRS.

Meh, don't feel too bad, I'm still like barely an A and I've been on hrt since early 2004. But I am a late transitioner too.

Welcome to the club! over a decade on HRT and I'm still barely an A!

I have been on hormones for nine months now, and have grown to a size 34C.  There are many factors that come into play regarding how fast your body will respond to hormones, but primarily, my response has been quick due to two factors.  I am twenty two.....and transitioning at a younger age tends to give quicker more satisfying results.....however, that isn't something that anyone can alter....but there is something else you can do.  Breast massage.  By massaging the breasts in a certain way, it increases blood flow to them.  As we all know blood carries estrogen, so more blood in breasts means more estrogen in breasts which in turn means more estrogen in estrogen receptors in breasts, which means greater response and growth.

I could explain the technique, but this link will do a better job than I.  The only thing I have to add is that by massaging the underarms for a minute or two before massaging the breasts will increase blood flow even more.  Also, I recommend two fifteen minute sessions of massage a day.
