And a plane.

Seriously, I'm thinking about a hognose. I believe it's a Western Hognose, a local place here breeds them and sells the hatchlings/youngins off. A little one will readily live in a 10 gallon tank, the adults might require a 20 long, which... I have one of each.

Or should I hold out for a Green Rough Scale snake (aka Green Grass snake)?

It depends, on, what you want in a "pet snake". I would say, Western Hognose, as long as, they are captive born and breed, like, the ones you describe, are very easy to feed and care for. Plus, are fairly easy to handle/keep tame. I will post,some sites, for, you to look at: http://www.petsnakecare.net/western-hognose-snake.php,  http://extremehogs.com/Caresheet.html  http://www.martinsreptiles.co.uk/hognose.html .

While, Rough Green snakes, are, normally wild caught, "flighty", fairly hardy if they are not dehydrated, treated for parisities (both internal and external) and not injured in transport to the states. I am assuming, you are, in the United States of America. I am posting, some links, Rough Green Snake care: http://www.petsnakecare.net/rough-green-snake.php http://www.reptilesncritters.com/care-guide-rough-green-snake.php and http://www.reptilechannel.com/snakes/snake-care/rough-green-snake-diet.aspx.

Well... yeah... The place here that breeds the Hognoses has a supplier out East that breeds the Rough Green snakes. Regardless, they also will quarantine them for 3-6 months before they put them on display to ensure they are hearty, healthy, and uninjured from their cross country trip. Out east being the East Coast... :P

I'd have a cat, but it's a $200 deposit, and... I can't afford $200 plus vet plus whatever else (probably furniture), so I'm gonna stick with reptiles. Or amphibians. Maybe another RETF would be good... Blah, I need to fix my frog tank. ;_;

I would say, if, you want/like the Rough Green Snakes more, then, go for it. Since, all the captive born and breed individuals, I have encountered made great "pets". Also, would you mind, telling me, the breeder of the Rough Green Snakes?

That sounds like, a great breeder  :). Plus, a really awesome quarantine procedure. Makes for: "happy", healthy, low stress snakes, and happy customers.

I used to breed all types of exotic reptiles and amphibians. Plus, parrots and finches. But, since, the United States economy is abysmal, I just have my domestic and hybrid cats. But, I sure loved, all the exotic animals, I used to keep and breed.

I wish, I had kept, some of my reptiles and amphibians. Now, I am just the crazy cat lady  :o. Feel free, to post, photo's and stories of your reptiles and amphibians. I would love that  :)! I agree, you need a RETF. Yes, please fix your frog tank  :D!
