Hi Everyone,

So, over my last couple sessions, my therapist has suggested I start toeing the waters of HRT, and has recommended a doctor who could prescribe T blockers (specifically, spiro).  I had never heard of starting with Spiro first, so I guess my question to all of you is, is this a normal route?  What should I expect from taking just spiro, not in tandem with an estrogen?

Thanks for any feedback!

Some Doctors do.  The idea here is to lower the testosterone before moving to the estrogen.  This also gives the Dr. a baseline of your system and the liver's reaction to the spiro.  You may get the feminizing effects just on the spiro, but the estrogen will help more.
