Headed to Seattle for three days to attend my class reunion and to visit my parents, as well as my adult kidlings.

That's all fine but I have to be in disgusting boy mode the whole time...ugh!

I escaped that area for a  reason, so I could try and be the real me for once in my life! And the 800 mile separation is working just fine so far ;) and I also must admit that my sisters and brothers here at Susan's are making this a lot better than imagined with all the kind love and support they show others as well as myself!

I just have to wonder if one of my old classmates will have an mtf surprise ;) I'm not ready or brave enough to do that up there as long as my parents are still around as they are older and ultra conservative....no way

At least I will be wearing my prettiest, lacy, pink & purple undies while in "boy drag" :)

Wish me luck ladies!

I'd go in girl clothes, particularly to the class reunion :icon_boogy: :icon_geekdance: :icon_pelvic_thrust:

Have fun

Oh...trust me Cindy, nothing would make me happier than showing up as myself in a cute summery outfit!

It's just too many of my classmates parents are friends with mine and I'm sure the word would get to them quite fast.

I'm actually happy enough that I didn't age near as much as the others ;) that alone will make people stare, lol

^ This.

I went to an all-boys Catholic high school, and I never really cared about the reunions. Until I began transition. Our 25th is coming up next year. I just might go.

Try to enjoy yourself, Michelle.

I would love to go to my 50th high school reunion coming up in October.  Most of my classmates already know about my transition so that wouldn't be an issue.

But, trying to justify spending a couple hundred dollars on airfare, then a couple hundred more for a hotel and food, then the cost of the reunion $85.

I just can't do it.
Nameless here for evermore!;  Merely this, and nothing more;

High school was a miserable experience for me so I'll never attend a reunion. I saw some pictures that someone posted online from those days and the feelings that popped up when i saw them were simply horrible.

Gotta love airport free wifi ;)

I did ok in high school, was alway more friends with the girls since I kinda understood them better, but the guys were ok to me for the most part...I guess being tall helped but I was often called "skinny bitch" which didn't really bother me much.

Connie dear, ya just gotta do that! :)

Gotta board the plane! Bye for now girls  :icon_chick:

Just landed and only feel a little PTSD, memories of hiding the real me for to many years gets to me when I come back to visit :(

Other than that it's nice and cool in Seattle today, only 90 deg, a bit better than the 103 back in northern CA ;)

Actually had a good time at the reunion regardless of being in boy mode for four days straight.

It was nice to see my old schoolmates, some of us even went all thru school from kindergarten to graduation! It was also nice to meet up and hang out with the girls I grew up with :) they were excited to see me again and we had a great time catching up on what had happened over the years...failed marriages, kids, jobs etc. I didn't mention at all about coming out as the real me, but I didn't exactly hide my girly mannerisms and my longer hair got some looks and comments thru out the night at the big party Saturday, if anybody put two and two together and kept it to themselves it would be fine with me ;)

Sunday eve I had a great flight home as I chased the sunset back down the west coast to California!

Good to hear it went well.  I avoided my 40th High School Anniversary, but will enjoy turning up to the next one.  It might be bitchy, but I think we will all look hotter than the other girls too. :)

Another thing I noticed while there is as my sister and I were sitting side by side with shorts on is that we have exactly the same legs! she is 2 years younger, almost as tall as I am and we have the same freckles (as in lots) when we are tan, as well as the same assorted small moles. I never paid much attention to it really since up until this year my legs have been furry (bleh!!)

She is very athletic and runs a lot which is why we look so similar ;)  That and growing up people would think we were boy/girl twins.
