I believe it is possible.  I know there are a few FTMs that haven't started HRT, yet are already masculinizing.  Conversely I also believe it is possible for MTFs to manufacture their own estrogen.  I started having some of the effects from estrogen long before I ever knew I was going to transition.  HRT acted as a nice booster that worked very quickly on me.

Both sexes produce both hormones. It's just the proportion that differs between males and females. Lots of anecdotal evidence of masculinizing pre-T. Maybe your body has managed to change the proportion a bit.

Very true, Andre is one of them.  His facial hair is the product of a hormonal imbalance (according to what he posted once) but I'm sure he doesn't mind.  ;)

Yes.

In dogs, the testosterone level of dominant animals is measurably higher than that of subordinate animals of the same sex. When that dominant animal gets chumped on by another, its testosterone level sinks.

Among the numerous species of cichlids (a family of fishes) that have nuchal humps (goofy-looking bulging foreheads) the size of the hump is controlled in part by genetics and in part by testosterone. Things being equal genetically, the dominant fish in the group will have the biggest hump. And the hump will shrink if that fish gets beat up by another fish, or is stressed in any other way.

I understand that this 'dominant/respected males have more T' thing is also true of humans, but I haven't actually read the research, and I don't think anybody has done such research concerning human females.

I suspect that the reason I feel so very lousy these days is that I am getting treated shabbily at my work, causing my T-levels to sink, so I feel unmanned and less like myself for reasons that are chemical as well as social.

Perhaps you are seeing a manifestation of increased adrenal output of the hormone, for whatever reason - ?

Well, it seems unlikely that this sort of thing would change the hormone levels enough to make any significant difference in morphology in humans. Or in dogs. Though supposedly that is kinda the point -- the animal that is slightly more muscular and aggressive gets into top-dog position gets a little flood of extra T to keep it more muscular and more aggressive so it stays in top-dog position, improving its chances of creating lots of offspring (say, "Evolutionary success") and making the social-world stable for its packmates and thus improving the survival rate of said offspring.

Prolly you're just growing a treasure-trail 'cause you're getting older. But in theory you could get your body to produce more T, not by willing it but by contriving to put yourself in situations where you get a triumphant 'I win!' kind of feeling and/or get treated like a leader. If you were a wolf that'd work, anyway. (You look more like a bird to me, possibly a kestrel, in which case you can increase your load of male sex-hormones by eating heads.)

Not My head, though. It's too bony.

It takes determination.

Yellowbeard says:

"It won't be the first head I've eaten!"

That's the spirit. And it's as powerful a tool as your mind is... Just like placebos can cure people because they believe they can, you can affect your hormonal state just by thought alone. I'm not gassbagging on either; it's a proven (but not well-understood) fact. Do some research on the subject, it's fascinating.
