  Ive been seeing these ads on a lot of sites that mirror some of the things I read in the forums I belong to.  I know that they mirrored my past browsing looking for a product or service I was interested in.  I was looking for video cards, for instance.  For a few weeks afterward I was getting those video card ads in the margins on Yahoo! and on the other sites.  Today a member of one of my forums mentioned the John Deere Gator, a small utility grounds vehicle.  When I got off of the forum group, there was an ad for the latest model of the John Deere Gator! 
  I've been getting ads with pictures of pretty women and buff gym guys for testosterone boosters for the past several months in the margins.  I wonder where they got the info for that one!  ARGHHH!  "What we got here, is a failure to communicate.  You know, me and testosterone just can't reach".  Apologies to "Cool Hand Luke".  Those ad generators should spend the day in the box.

All the internet providers are making big bucks from Clicks so at some time you have looked at a website for cards and so now you are on lots of lists as being a likely sucker so your IP puts ads up knwoing that a they get a few cents if you click on them and b because they get paid to put them on so of course they are milking us all.
there isn't much we can do about it unless other internet devices such as tablets would allow us to get on the internet and not be bombarded with adverts.

that's the effect of tracking cookies at work, using keywords to target spam advertisements towards users.
