I'm Danny. I'm sure it'll be a pleasure to get talking to you all, and to meet you.

Well, you want my story. I've been in the wrong body for years upon years now, all (just) eighteen years of my life. And, now I've finally decided to do something about it. People at school ( I stayed on ) have been wondering about me for a while; but they never wanted to say anything about it in case they offended me, but, no, I would've liked them to say something because it wouldn't offend me. They'd say I looked more a boy than a girl, which I'd have loved to hear.
One thing they do say is that I look really young for my age, which I do. And it's a shame, people think otherwise that I'm eighteen, but I am. Yes, I'm FtM and I've just started counselling and right now, it's going pretty well. They're actually just about to give me options; that's what they told me anyway.. so yeah.

My life is finally on track.
That's pretty much my story. But, I can't wait to hear your stories, etc, and get to know you guys. So, yeah.. hi.  ;)
It's not anyone's decision who you are, it's your own, and I appreciate the fact you think that way.

Hi Dedwards, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7905  strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hi Danny ,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in and start talking.

Absolutely great to hear you have already started with your therapist. You are indeed off to a very good start. You have your whole life out there in front of you. Keep those friends of yours, they'll come in handy when times get a bit rough. And I'm sure you'll be there for them.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Hi from another of the Aussie shift.
It is good to hear  that things are going pretty well.  Also good you have found yourself at your age, and not mid 50's.  It will have saved a lot of grief in the intervening years, I am really glad that things have shifted so much since the 60's and 70's.

Have fun here, Karen.

Thanks guys! I'm sure, as the posts I've read already, that I'll like it here. I'm sure I won't be alone for much longer, especially not being around people like you!
Yeah, this seems like a big.. family, as you put it, and I can't wait, as I said, to get to know you all!  ;)

Sorry for my time off, personal things going on, but thank you all for welcoming me here!
