This question is for the folks who have already had top surgery. About how much money did you spend apart from the actual surgery bill itself? Such as paying for a hotel, rental car, food, other unforeseen expenses, etc. Just wanna know how much I should be aiming to save up.

I'm having surgery with Dr. Garramone in the US. The surgery is about $5,900 - but I'm anticipating on spending $8,000 altogether. Ask yourself these questions:

-Do I know how much the surgery itself will be?
-What medications and/or physicals will I need before hand?
-Do I have insurance that will cover the aforementioned items?
-Will I be traveling for this surgery?
-Will someone be with me or do I need to hire someone to help?
-If I am traveling, how far will it be? Will I need to take a plane, train, bus, or car? Do I need to consider the cost of gas?

etc, etc. There are a lot of things you should consider before you schedule your surgery. These are some of these things I've taken into consideration, apart from food and hotel costs.
