How many of you can't pass without facial hair?

I have noticeable facial hair, it scrappy and grows thicker on one side, but it's noticeable, but without it I can't pass, and with it I can't pass with my long hair. Unfortunately, I had to cut my hair b/c I was getting mis-gendered so much by customers at my temp job that it forced me to cut my hair so I could pass better.

Anyone on T for over a year and still can't pass without facial hair or with facial hair? I don't think I'll be changing anymore, just hopefully getting thicker facial hair so I can pass. But I'm still un-passable and getting no changes.

Dominick, of course you will continue to change more.
As a sex hormone, testosterone is going to continue to change you gradually and subtly everyday, whether you notice it or not. The same thing actually goes for the people who can naturally produce it too. It's sort of silly for you to think that suddenly all your other masculinizing changes are going to halt except for growing more facial hair.

What I'm trying to say is: try not to worry yourself so much, dude.
Meow.

^^This. Cis guys need years of change to even grow full beards, you just don't see them with a high voice and hairless in grade 8 and then all grown up and manly in grade 9, it takes years and years for  cis guys to reach their "done" stage.

You talk about not passing ALL the time..but I've never seen a picture of you o:
It's hard to help you without knowing what you look like. A video would be even better.

had one kid in my class that was definitely an exception to that. -_- Everyone made fun of him for how soft he looked and how high his voice was, and the next year, BAM. Puberty hit him like a rock, he joined the football team, and all the girls wanted to date him. It was justice.

I have seen guys continue to change after 2 years on T.

So far I don't think I've passed more than maybe once or twice without facial hair and more times with.

Puberty works at a different rate for everyone.

But I think you missed my point by quoting me because no one is ever truly completely done with changing, even beyond puberty. I wasn't even talking about the rate of puberty in my post, but more of how hormones are even going to change you even when you no longer have "crazy teenage levels" of them in your system. They shouldn't and won't become entirely ineffectual.

oh ok :P I just observe this stuff from my cousin. The adorable little runt that I used to babysit and watch saturday cartoons with has a booming voice now and is 3 inches taller and chasing girls like it's nobodies business.

But yea, I see some ftm's that I know have been on T for more than 5 years now and who still change in ways.

*Raises hand*
I barely pass with it,
And when I shave, I never pass.
It doesn't help that I'm off T now (No money)
So it's not growing as fast or as thick and I can get away without shaving for a good week and a half without it doing much.

But being on T that long and not passing, that's interesting. Hmmm...Are you getting the kind of results that you want; voice, muscle development, fat distribution, and so on? Have you considered talking to your doctor about it and telling him / her your concern on the issue?

This is very true, most guys even when they finish puberty don't look as masculine as they do when they are older and the more they age the more masculine they seem to appear. My dad in his early twenties did not look as masculine as he does now in his forties.

I do pass without facial hair because well mines too thin to notice anyways. I pass as young though maybe 15.

I figured I was done changing since I hadn't changed in over 6 months and my voice is still very high.

Yeah, I hope I continue to change more. I just haven't seen any changed in over 6 months.

I've posted pics in the "Do I pass" thread. Everyone one always says I pass, but in real life I always get female. I only pass if they know my name first, then nobody questions my gender. When I get more active and loose some weight again I'll post a video. I'm just not comfortable with my weight right now to post a video.

Sorry you don't have the money to continue with T. I hope you get some money soon so you can continue with hormone treatment.

I'm not really getting the results I want. I mean,  the fat has redistributed, but my voice is no where near where it should be. I'm extremely disappointed with my voice not changing. It's still way too high.

My doctor says my voice has gotten a lot deeper, but I don't think it has at all. I have my voice on tape pre-T and it hasn't deepen much at all. I still don't pass over the phone as male either. I only pass when people know my name is Dominick. And I can't pass with my long hair. I hate that I had to cut it to get a better pass. Once I can grow thicker facial hair I'm keeping my hair long.

Yeah, I always think I look too much like a girlie boy, like I haven't masculized enough. I hope I masculized more over the years.

That's cool you pass without facial hair.

Wish I could pass without facial hair.  The thing about keeping it short but not shaved clean is that on one side it's patchy, and it looks bad if I don't shave it. It's still pretty blond on one side, part of it's dark and part isn't.  I'm hoping it evens out soon, it's been months and it's still not filling out on one side.

I gave myself a mustache and beard (spirit gum and crepe wool). The mustache wasn't bad. Oh well, coulda worked maybe but it itches something crazy. I'm sure I'd pass with facial hair.

I don't think any fake facial hair is going to pass in public if you try to pass it off as your own.  It can look pretty realistic from afar but up close it doesn't.
