I realise that each face is different but did everyone have to stop shaving days before their electrolysis session?
Or what did you do?I feel such an hidious mess the day before and the morning of my weekly sessions.
And whilst I'm on the subject.Does Emla cream work? The sessions on my top lip and around my mouth are practically unbearable. What is the best way to use it?That is when to apply and how much and should I cover it or not?

Thanks TessaM   I searched for same posts before strating this.Obviously missed yours.Sorry.Great replies and wonderful insights from yours. So I guess I'll just have to put up with it like everyone else.
But the pain sucks.I'll try the reducing caffeine intake thing though.
Again thanks for the redirect.

The general rule is not to shave before electrolysis as the tech need to follow the hair to the root(follicle). For laser you need to be shaved as to use the laser to zap the follicle and not the hair.

As for pain killing you may want too talk to Sandra Jane on staff, you can pm her, she is professionally trained in this topic.

Happy Zapping

Oh the pain is worth it. I know that doesn't help but it is awesome to look in the mirror and just look, look, and look. And think - I don't have a beard anymore.

And cry, happy tears.
