How many of you ladies have actually used the sperm bank? I read somewhere that almost half of the transsexual women have done it but i don't know any transsexuals who have.

Aim and I want to store some before its to late,so we can have more kids later on.So if anyone has done this reply please,just wondering how much its going to cost us in the long run.Thanks.

Did you start hormones already? i started it and it's hard for me to stop.

It costs about 550 CAD, including the initial application fees but that is only one sample of sperm and the stroage is only for one year. If you want to continue keep the frozen sperm sample, you have to pay 200 dollar every year.

I haven't started taking hormones yet,but hopfully soon.I go next month to see my endo to see about getting them.So thats why I'm wondering how much cause were going to need to do it soon,and we have a baby on the way so were tring to come up with a budget of some sort.

wow..i wouldn't want a baby right now. I am just a recent graduate and i have a tough time deailng with just myself.

I was advised to do it before I went on mones but I did not like the Idea of " Fathering a Child"

I don't like the "father" thing either,but its the only way to have my own childeren.But are kids will have two moms not the norm dad & mom thing,so it doesn't bother me any.
