November 19, 2025

I can not believe that we are more than half-way through the month of November.

So far for me, the last two months have been my personal trial as it relates to my health.
In mid-September had a day with my doctors in Anchorage for blood tests and also a
mammogram and a preliminary MRI, and eventually planned a flight to Seattle for breast surgery
removing two cysts ... thankfully not cancer.
There I had a 2nd MRI screening for diagnosing my chronic back pain... as a result of slipping
on the ice 7 years ago in front of my office.
In addition, I got my scheduled injection which addresses my chronic migraine headaches.

I may be a "mess" but I am an a devout optimistic person and I am very thankful for our modern medicine.
I healed up from the breast surgery and now I am still waiting to hear from my Neurologist (back doctor)
that may result in another trip to Seattle for surgery.

Now upon us is the busy winter holiday season of Thanksgiving (USA) next week on November 27th,
next is Christmas on December 25th, then January 1st, 2026 New Year's Day.

"tis a busy season for certain.

HUGS, Danielle

Staying busy is a good thing. Staying healthy is even better. Glad you are ok.

If you need downtime, don't hesitate to take it. It's good that you have people who can cover your business if you need to take care of things. And we have you covered here, but we aren't done with you yet, so do what you need to do to stay healthy.

Thank you for the update.

Keep being an optimist, Danielle. There's absolutely no cost for being hopeful.

Every time I go in for one of my HRT follow ups, my GP looks at my records and says "you've not been on HRT long enough to need a mammogram yet".  I fear the day is coming soon, possibility in December.  That's going to be weird in so many ways.

Danielle, I'm glad you surgery went well.  I hope your Neurologist has good news,

You'll be in my prayers.

Best Regards,
Paulie.

Danielle,

Hopefully, your Neurologist will come back with good news and surgery will not be required. Sending good thoughts your way.

You forgot to mention your busiest time after the New Year. Tax season. 😁

My Thanksgiving Day started early in this morning for me....
At 6:30am My early morning preparation for Thanksgiving Dinner today,
as pictured below I have the Turkey stuffed and READY to put into my oven.
and fixed all the side dishes and planned an early dinner at 1:00pm.

I finished baking a Cherry Pie and I also made a relish dish with olives and pickles,
and a dish of Cranberry Sauce.

I had invited a  small group of 3 ladies at my home... they were bringing other
food, salads, and side dishes.    We had a wonderful time... and after dinner
we all sat in my living room in front of my warm fireplace and talked and talked
for hours.

Yummy.

A tradition at my house was the feast on Thanksgiving, then for Christmas, it was snacking on relish trays, pinwheels, cookies, and treats all day.

In the UK our one big feast is Christmas, mum bought a frozen turkey yesterday for our meal. After some sorting I managed to get it in my small fridge/freezer!! it takes up one drawer.
Sounds like you had a great time, good food and good company.

I like those cranberries that have those indentation marks around the slices.
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.
