What was the biggest risk you took during 2025?

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Buying a new home and moving before selling our old home. I'm still glad we did it, but I'll feel much better about the situation when we get the old house sold.

Beginning HRT against medical advice (my primary is VA so I took her advice with a grain of salt). Then I had a cancer scare and meekly acquiesced to her recommendation. But those three months were amazing! If my next check-up comes back clean, I intend to do it all over again.

Comin' home to a place I'd never been before
Left yesterday behind me, you might say I was born again
Might say I found a key for every door

When I first came to the mountains, my life was far away
On the road and hangin' by a song
But the string's already broken, and I don't really care
It keeps changin' fast, it don't last for long

But the Colorado Rocky Mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
Shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullaby
Rocky Mountain high

I climbed cathedral mountains, I saw silver clouds below
I saw everything as far as you can see
And they say that I got crazy once, I tried to touch the sun
And I lost a friend but kept my memory

Now I walk in quiet solitude, the forests and the streams
Seeking grace in every step I take
My sight has turned inside myself to try and understand
The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake

And the Colorado Rocky Mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
I talk to God and listen to the casual reply
Rocky Mountain high

Now my life is full of wonder, but my heart still knows some fear
Of a simple thing I cannot comprehend
Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more
More people, more scars upon the land

And the Colorado Rocky Mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
Thought I'd be a poorer woman if I never saw an eagle fly
Rocky Mountain high

It's the Colorado Rocky Mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
Friends around the campfire, everybody's high
Rocky Mountain high

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... She is tired of hiding and more courageous than you know... Let her prove that to you....Let her step out of the dark and feel the light upon her face.... amg🌸

I finally came out to my spouse's family, which felt like a risk but luckily wasn't! Otherwise, I guess it would be that I changed work roles to something I hadn't done in the better part of a decade and hadn't kept fresh in, so I felt like I was slipping underwater for a couple of months there, but it has worked out!

My biggest risk in 2025 was to use the "transgender" label when talking with my wife instead of using the "cross dresser" term I've used my whole life.

I've known since forever that I am much more than a CD but it was an easier label for my wife to try to accept.

As they say "words matter" and I think saying to her that I am trans rather than a CD has hit a nerve with her and has injected a very negative vibe into what I thought was a happy marriage.
