NOTE: This is part two of Steven LeMay's epic sitdown with Heklina, the San Francisco drag legend. Heklina started the drag show Trannyshack in 1996, and recently celebrated her 35th birthday. Read part one here.

Last time, they dished about Trannyshack's history, Heklina's first forays into drag, and the difficulties a drag queen faces; landing a gay male boyfriend. This time, the oral history gets oral-er.

Lemay: Do you remember the first time someone hit on you in drag as Heklina?

Heklina: It happened a lot at Trannyshack, and I wasn't really into it for a while. But then I got into it, and it was a little bit of a turn-on.

I was like, there's straight, there's bisexual, there's gay, and then doing Trannyshack I noticed that it was more fluid.
