I am a 63 old widower.  Like others, I dressed up in my mother's clothes when around 12.  In grade school I loved the little girls and their pretty dresses and wished to be like them.  I wa born with undesended testicles and was given testosterone shots after I was 10 to see if they would drop.  This didn't work and I had surgery at age 11.  Now they give surgery at 6 months so this makes me wonder if this has contributed to my feminine feelings. 

I still dressed at home with discarded clothes until I went into the air force.  Then went to college , got married, fathered 3 girls and my crossdressing urges receded until after my wife died.  It seems now that I need to present as a women at least 2 to 3 times a week.  My feminine feelings are getting stronger all the time and wonder where it will lead me?  So far I go out during the evening,  mainly to clubs.  I came out to GG friend of mine and she invites me to her place to dress and give me pointers.  Friday night we got dressed and I thought she would call a cab.  Instead, we went to the bus stop and waited for the bus.  A really big deal for me, dressed enfemme and taking a city bus.  A few looks but a fun experience.  I do go shopping in guy mode and try on clothes.  The girls are so sweet and ask me how it fit and if I liked it. 

My VA psychologist knows about me and very supportive wherever it might take me.  Siince I am older, my options are a lot less.  I might just crossdress and hope my needs don't become greater.  I found this site and have loved reading the forum and connecting to other girls stories.  It sure helps to not feel alone.

Well, that were exciting moments with the bus, I think you were a bit nervous at that time.
But, the first time is always the hardest, so it can only become easier for you.
You've come to a supporting site, that means that you can always have support in times that you need it.
Now you're a sister of a worldwide community, so you're never alone.
Because of the time difference there is always someone on line.

Hello Samantha,
I just found your intro.
It is good to meet you.
I am in 60+ and have been on hrt for about a year and a half now.
Like you I am what they call a late bloomer.
Why hold back? I figure I will start the journey and see what happens.
So far I has been a blast and my depression has lifted. My life is allot better then before hrt.
And, love this, I pass most of the time with no makeup or female attire.
Oh I am still married and have 3 kids and 4.5 grandkids.
