As is evident from all of the responses we all have talents and abilities that are well worth mentioning. 
For our own self-respect it is important to not only know how we can each contribute to society but also it is good to see how our forums friends and like-minded members also fit into the puzzle.
For example, I may be a good accountant, but I know nothing about what Evienne does with video editing and graphics, and as far as what you do Cynthia, I stumble along  dealing with computers and such.  And as far as flying a plane or jet, I will overwhelmingly trust you KathyLauren to take the controls.

Well, I am retired these days.  But I have been a flying instructor in the RCAF, and then I spent many years in IT, first as an employee and then as a contractor.  I did general application programming, then moved up to systems analysis.  My specialty was security on the particular operating system that my employer used.  We never had a hacker compromise the system.

Wow... another IT specialist.   Lots of members here with good computer knowledge and skills.

Like most Windows users, I enjoyed XP for many years, then went to WindowsVista and was very disappointed until finally Windows7 came along.... I loved it.
I never did go with the disastrous Windows8 and I dragged my feet for a couple of years until I finally had the nerve to go with Windows10....   
....here is a cute photo that depicts of what I originally thought of changing from Windows7 to  Windows10   
The good news is that Windows10 was a refreshing success after the Windows8 debacle.

My first real job was in 1969 working at YAMAHA in the computer room. I learned a little cobal. The computer we had filled a rather large room with tape reels. The computing power at the time was ridiculously limited. It was a great first job as all my friends were making $1.65 and I was making $4. Then I moved on to Northrop where I monitored the old punch card job reporting machines. During inventory we found a few million dollars in lost parts. I was then assigned to expedite for the YF 17 program. The precurser to the F18 that we lost the contract for because we didn't have experience with carrier landing gear. So we lost the contract and it went to McDonnell Douglas. The irony is that the initial F18's from MD were three years late because you guessed it. They could not develop a proper landing gear. After losing the contract I went to Allied Signal for the next 20 years. I've been Master Scheduler, Industrial Engineer, and computer guru. I created an MRP system that would automate the use of remanufactured parts if I could get the necessary system space which at the time about a half a million dollars for a gig of memory. Look what we have today. A terebyte on your PC.  I also set up a color code to identify parts before the are machined so they didn't get made into something else. We were losing over a million dollars in parts by being misidentified. I created over 70,000 item masters. Finally I trained the materials people in Mexicali who took over my job due to Nafta. Oh I was principle in our first six sigma assignment and we took the design approval time for over 90 days to 3. Getting product introduced 3 months sooner.
In 1997 I moved to Washington and worked at Boeing and was a SME for their billion dollar system consolidation. After that I worked in Purchasing where I was rated by my peers as the most productive person in the department. Then I had a heart attack and got replaced by a Desi in India. I have been retired since 2013. Notice that on all my jobs I positively affected the bottom line. That's how you make three years in college enough to keep a job and compete with graduates. Money Talks... And I have made people like Larry Bossidy, Harry Stonecipher and Jim McNerney millions and millions of dollars. What do they all have in common? They were yes men for Jack Walsh the guy who laid off 100000 General Electric employees and started the exodus of American jobs overseas and the beginning of exorbitant CEO salaries.

I think that I remember reading in one of your other postings that you were "thinking" of moving back to California....   Southern California again or up North this time? 
Do you have a city or area in mind, or are you staying in Washington State.

You have had quite a range of employment experiences and undoubtedly are quite adept at any job that you have done.... or will do.

Cool Dawn, I remember structured cobol  and IBM (370, 360) main frames filling rooms with tape readers as you mentioned, along with huge removable disks (DASD), 4 MB of CPU ram was very expensive then. At my first computer job I made $2.30 (CA minimum wage) as a computer console operator (1976, large oil company), we had punch cards for JCL (job control language), in this huge room full of machines...

I am so very glad that you posted and shared here on this thread.  I recall from our many conversations during this last year that you were switching your employment opportunities and that you earned your teaching credentials.   

In my own personal experience with different jobs that have had, it is not nearly as important what I do for a living as far as a title and paycheck but it is more important to follow my passions and interests.  I am a much happier person doing that.

I was a field engineer for a scientific equipment company.  It's just another term for a chemist who knows how to run spectrometers and knows the difference between a wrench and a screwdriver. 

The constant travel got old and I got an offer to do the same basic job for a university while getting to work on my PhD and that's where I am now.  The pay is lousy and the hours are long but at least I'm not living out of hotels 4-5 nights a week.  Having a fun project to work on keeps things interesting.
