I keep reflexively responding to "sir," "Dave," and "David."

I heard somewhere that it takes humans around 30 days to change a habit. If you keep a constant "note" in the back of your mind not to respond, in time it'll just come naturally. I've been the bearer of a lot of annoying nicknames given to me by friends (including poop and forever alone) that I've had to learn to stop responding to.

Well, 30 days isn't so bad. I'm trying to keep that mental note in place, but my mind is a little messy and I misplace things sometimes.

Welcome to the club!  I lost a pair of my reserve glasses in a case at the state auto emissions inspection station yesterday.  I went back, no longer there.  Oh, well!  I get ditzy too!  Coming off of a very busy time last week doesn't help here!
